How to do a "kiss" with the floor?

Hello guys


I play FSX since 3 weeks and now i can landing A319 correctly, so i try to use this plane with FS passenger.I made two landing and i have a
problem with the gear, he is owned every twice.

- First landing with 169kt (more faster)
-Second landing at 129kt but this time i don't understand why the gear is owned, it's a good speed to land no??


So how to "kiss" the runway safely with the passengers on board?

What's you decent rate and touch down angel? That effects it a lot

There are a whole number of factors, descent rate and speed being two of the largest. Your flap and slat settings matter alot, as does your use of
the speedbrake.

Please tell us what you do, from the moment you fly over the runway's outer marker, to the point where your wheels touch the ground and include
speeds, etc.

So im trying to land A319 using VFR approach without AP started or anything else, i know it's not the more easy method but i want to learn landing
plane only with my "hand".When i fly without FS passenger my landing is not a problem, so now the gear with FS passenger is the result of my
worth landing.


Flight descent:

Ok, first a i begin my descent at 120 miles with FL300, between FL300 and FL100 my vertical speed is -2000/mn atfer between FL100 and
FL30 -1500/mn.My speed is reducing at ~210kt and when i come back to the ILS flag i reduce my speed at 140kt with one level of flaps open
after gear down and full flaps when im at FL0,5 with auto speedbrake for the touchdown.The last landing i touch the ground at 129kt.


What im doing wrong? explain me

I would have full flaps and gear down as you pass over the ILS outer marker of the runway you're approaching. 140kts seems a little fast for approach
in an A319; certainly if i'm flying a 738 then I'm flying the finals at 130kts if the wind isn't too strong.

Ok toonight i will try to reduce a little my speed for touch the ground and open the flaps before, i think im landing so fast too

I don't think your airspeed is the problem as much as the descent rate. Try to tpouch down at below 300 ft / mi.

So another crashing at the begining of the runway, 124kt...

I have a problem to see my vertical speed when im at final approach, do you know the exactly keyboard to see him faster?

Hello Aerobeginner,
If your computer has the right number path, like this
7 8 9 - (*)
4 5 6 + (*)
1 2 3 enter
0 .(del)

It will be much easier to fly and control the plane,

1 is for trim (up)
7 is for trim (down)
3 & 9 are the engine power (also F1...F4)
5 is centering airplane course
and 2 (up),8 (down), 4 (left), 6 (right),

These key will help to make a VFR landing at lest -1º to -299º of landing pitch.
Try also to land fast and not a kiss landing if you really wont to be a pro simmer, because it will may cost you a go-around if you are still
trying to make a kiss landing and didn't touch in the middle of the runway.
Also a tip, try to land at a good speed in perfect flap position and very important for beginners to listen the ATC, if he tells to go at FL030
you need to bee there before the landing clearance.

I have a good news, finally i landing this A319 slower at the middle of the runway ! hiting the ground at 122kt i was working on my descent
rate and surprise to not crash

Passengers were 100% happy, only i have a penality for the limit speed in the ground...



I know where the problem is know i have to land below -300ft/mi and more down in the ILS outer marker thanx for your help.

Do not "try" to land in the middle of the runway unless you are refering to left and right of centerline. Your goal is to land in the first one
third of the runway past the threshold. Unused runway is wasted.
