Most stupid thing you have done in FSP

Hey guys wanna start this thread to have a little fun.

Lets list some of the stupid things we have done, I'll start.

Just today I landed on San Salvador with my 727, for some reason thrust reversers won't come on and when I tried to steer the airplane
it wouldn't do anything.

I noticed some warning lights on including the gear one so I decided to wiggle the gear lever guess what gear up on ground crash one dead, one injured.

Luckily I didn't had the instant record.

What stupid stuff have you done?

I opened the doors at cruising altitude and killed all the passengers, lol. I wanted to open a panel (Shift+3) and I incidentaly pressed shift+e, damn.

In the old times we had a thing called "World Tour" and in the journey there was an airstrip that FS9 had the wrong altitude. I cann't
remember where it was, maybe Romania, but it was like landing a plane at the bottom of a 4000 foot well. I kept trying that landing with
everything I had, knowing that it would not work. The definition of insanity is to try the same thing over and over hopeing for a different
outcome.

I tried to take off and I was eating burger, so I dropped the burger and went to get and while I was getting it, the 747
plummitted to the ground.

I left the gear down and destroyed them, also I destroyed the flaps.

Forgot to turn on the generators. By the time the batteries were drained, there wasn't enough power to start the engines.

Tried to continue landing in Toncontin airport with a 757 when I was coming in too high & could not see end of runway because of the fog. I ran out of
the runway and killed some of my pax.

I wanted to land in an airport "inside" or near london ( i cant remember )

But by pure axident I fly above the queens residence and lets put it this way... I was shot down above London by the queens security service.

And since I was quite low at that time then I had no other option than to land on a tiny street somewhere in London with my Airliner ;-(

I just got my example on what is the dumbest thing for AI to do in FSP, I flew back for 10 hours with my 767-300ER from Havana to St. Petersburg, at
Pulkovo AIrport I had a gear failure and had to bounce the right main gear into place, I did this, went around and attepted to land again, AND THEN
SOME CRAZY ASS IDIOT DROVE HIS GREY VAN RIGHT ON THE RUNWAY, max reverse, spoilers and brakes after my WTF-moment didnt help, I smashed into the car
at about 20 kts. -.-

I fly with a keyboard. I use the mouse for the menu and setting up a quick <space bar> reference view for quick access to the
instruments. I also am new at this and prefer the 737. That’s the background.
On ILS approach to KORF with auto-throttle set around 145 and auto-pilot set to approach, I do what I usually do: switch to manual
throttle control a few miles out (to keep the speed down when it hits the glide slope and noses down), then disengage auto-pilot <Z> at
about 500 feet AGL, sometimes less, then flair and land.
Well, on this approach I go to flair and nothing happens. I pull way back, nothing. I landed hard but with luck, only about 350 ft/min (or
there a bouts) then notice the auto-pilot (only the one button) is lit after I am a good ways down the runway.
I can only conclude I hit the <Z> key again but luckily with a safe rate of descent and lined up perfectly.
I turn it off/ and continue the usual panic to keep on the runway, break (I don’t use auto-break – though I should) – ok. Good flight, very very
lucky landing, park, summary, quit. Lesson learned.

I load up last position next flight, taxi, take off and weirdest thing - happens, it starts rotating around 80 knots. The simulator has a mind
of its own – I am going to have a tail strike here. I fight it back and get off the ground. (remember – I am learning valuable lessons here
like trim, basic flight controls, lol.)
Well – I later figure the column must have been pulled WAY back from my attempt to over-ride the auto-pilot the night before. Will never
know. Also, at about FL 160 I hit auto-pilot and the thing has a mind of its own, tried to pull back and nose WAY up. I disengage. That’s
when I discovered the trim setting – but I honestly don’t remember if I noticed trim being off, or what. What I did do to resolve it (not that I
know it would) was to hold the airplane level, then adjusted trim to keep it that way (more or less). After doing that, my auto-pilot behaved.

Needless to say – before every takeoff I visually inspect that column and trim settings to insure they are neutral… Live and learn.

Where do I start this list?!

When I was still trying out the demo, I started a company and a pilot of full realism. After several flights in my single engine Mooney Bravo taking
of from San Francisco, I take off one more time and here a loud THUMP and get a warning/fire light @ 400 ft, just after I retracted the landing gear.
Just to make matters worse, I took off on the runway facing land and had a rather large hill coming up on me fast! Before I could think, I turn the
plane, face it down an open street and slide across it on my belly. Dammit! Forgot I pulled the gear up!

FSP didn't like me for that one - didn't declare an emergency, didn't squawk 7700, flight was too short, etc. etc. etc.

Stupidest thing myself and the ATC in Las Vegas ever did - I'm on short, short short final in my 737 (as in less than 100 ft from the ground)
following a 747 in. Flaps are fully extended, gear's down, throttle is down, I'm just coming out of my flare when ATC gives me the dreaded "Go
around!" message. WTF!!!

The screen scares the heck out of me and causes me to land really hard, blowing a tire. I'm kinda pissed about that but then my brain recalls
something... wasn't there something I was supposed to be... OH CRAP! 747 at 1 o'clock! Reverse thrust, spoilers, brakes and damn near scraping the
left wing along the ground trying to turn hard enough to miss the other plane. I impacted at 70kn..... 100% casualty.

Most recent - I like to live life dangerously and have my airline set to over an 80% failure rate. On my last flight into LaGuardia, NYC, my flaps
got stuck on my CRJ-700 so the landing was fast and hard. I did everything necessary to stay on the runway and stop in time. Perfect flight, + a bonus!

I repair the plane, and prepare for a short hop up to Toronto cause, I just like going to CYYZ while listening to some Rush in the background :D
Load the plane, set the course, punch all my data in, taxi out, go through my checklist and take off. 100 knots. Fine. 120. Ok, here we go. 140...
hrmm... does it seem a bit sluggish? 170 knots, controls are almost in my lap but I'm barely getting any lift! I get off the ground just before the
runway ends and (luckily) start flying over the Long Island Sound, almost leaving a wake!

I can't figure it out. Engines are good, flaps are good, gear works and weather's decent but I just can't get any damn altitude! Then I hear a
little voice in the back of my head remind me about my last landing. Whoops, spoilers are still armed! Crisis averted, and I regain control of the
plane.

Now the redemption on my part...

At 26,000 ft I have a major electrical short. Troubleshoot the lights and it turns out to be with the master avionics, so I shut them down. Now I'm
screwed! Anyone who hasn't flown a CRJ-700 in a while, might not realize it's a glass cockpit. I have no instruments available and no way to radio ATC.

I go the old fashioned route and look for some landmarks then compare it with my map. Of course, I also have no airspeed indicator so descending is a
bit tricky. I pretty much just cut throttle and flew her down to a near stall til I got to a reasonable altitude. Saw the airport and lined up out
over the lake. Had to extend gear manually and keep everything in focus. Crap, no flaps again!

Figure as long as I have two working engines and two intact wings I can still fly the plane at least. I just pray the runway's clear since I can't
radio ahead. Get lined up and so far it's going really well. I pass over the perimeter fence for the airport, line up the runway one last time and
see a cloud of smoke in front of me... Noooo!!!! Looks like a 737 just touched down in front of my nose.

I pass so close I can hear the engines of the other plane pass under me and thought for sure I was going to collide. Somehow I stayed airborne long
enough to pass over it safely, but ate up more than half the runway in doing so. I touch the runway for a nice smooth landing, but still have a whole
lot of speed to burn off.

I don't know how I managed it for that flight, but even after rolling off the end of the runway at near racing speeds, I slowed, turned and stopped
the plane with no catastrophe. What surprised the hell out of me was the +500 points I got and 0 penalty for that flight!
