One not so beautiful day I attempted to take my FeelThere 737-300 to a flight from london-luton zu germany. It was night, it was windy, and it was rainy.
Since the plane was 100 % loaded with 103 people on board and cargo, I used a lot of runway for takeoff and was lucky to make it in the air in time.
Then, about 500 ft AGL....
*BANG*
Flameout on Nr. 2, bird strike according to the end flight screen later. (why are birds flying in this crappy weather??? Get a job!)
This is where my trouble started, I called mayday and entered 7700 in the transponder. I really had some trouble to esablish a stable climb, with the
working engine on full power, I was loosing speed even in level flight and had to sink to gain speed, but since I only was at 1000 ft, this was not an
option.
I tried turning towards stansted, which was easier to reach without having to turn back to luton, and after a minute, I even saw the runway.
But I just kept sinking and sinking, regardless of what I tried, pulling up made mee too slow, and I could not afford to sink, until it was too late:
stall.
The aircraft crashed around 1000 ft short of the threshold into a suburban area. Main cause: failure of an engine right after takeoff, conributing
factors: bad weather, a broken flight model by feelthere, pilot error.
Of 103 people, 34 passengers survived unharmed after the plane hit the ground at around 1400 ft/m, unfortunately, my top pilot (c11) and the fight
crew were not among these.
and yes, instant record is on.
now all I have left is a c3-Pilot and an a**-load of planes no one can fly anymore.
have a nice day everyone
