ICAO Code with 3 letters...

Hi everyone!

I hope that I will not make too much faults, and I excuse in advance...(French FsP user )

I have a little question concerning ICAO codes with less of 4 letters, like PAK (Hanapepe at Hawaï)...
How can we insert a destination with a 3-letters ICAO code, please???

It is not a real problem, but there a non negligible number oh these ICAO which have three letters, so it could be problematic for bonus or malus qith
destination...

do you have example of ICAO code with three letters ?
did you tried to edit the ICAO database I'm not sure it would
not work with only three letters....

i think you make a confusion between iata and icao codes... don't you ?
iata -> 3 letters
icao -> 4 letters...
but maybe i'm wrong

EDIT : ... i'm wrong... some icao codes are made with only 3 letters... sorry...

No there are some ICAO codes with 3 letters - there a bunch in Canada. Examples -

C00;Mercer Co;Canada
C01;Southern Cross;Canada
C02;Grand Geneva Resort;Canada
C03;Nappanee Mun;Canada
C04;Oceana Co;Canada

These are ICAO not IATA.

I added these to my list but they don't show up properly.

Some examples of ICAO codes with 3 letters:

00B Edgewater (Maryland)
00C Durango (Colorado)
00N BridgeTown (New Jersey)
00Q Grimes (California)
00R Livingston (Texas)...

etc...

PAK Hanapepe (Hawaï)...

etc...

The majority of these destinations are little terrains, and some of these can be destinations for bush-flying VA, for example.
Iven if i edit the database with these type of code (3 letters), FsPassengers will not accept it, because I must enter a 4-letters ICAO code, if not I
can't click on the "Set-Destination" button...

adding a space as the fourth letter can be a solution i think...

In fact they are not ICAO codes. Most databases are using them and entering them as ICAO codes but they are FAA codes or similar regional authorities
codes.

They are used when no other codes are available.
