FsPassengers is awesome! I reaaaally enjoy using it.. I actually see no point at all in flying again without it :-)

but.. just a couple of things imho should be at least given a chance to get implemented:

1) implement an option to take into account each plane last position.

I mean, Ive just ONE 737, if I fly from A to B, Id expect (since I have just a single pilot, and the aircraft doesnt show an increased flight time)
that THAT plane should be where Ive left it last time.. Maybe someone will see this as an excess of realism, but for me its just something basic, and
I really hope to see it implemented, at least as an option.

2) a more challenging setup.

I started with a custom scenario (I wanted to start an airline with something like $25,000,000, and I wanted NO income multiplier) but I dont' think
its challenging enough either.. I know the program can be used in alot of different ways, but I just would like:

a) MORE used planes on the market (Id like to choose, even to buy plane in bad shape because I wanted to start with few money, BUT I still want a 737
- its my responsibility what happens next)
b) configurable (or higher) aircraft mainteinance fees.. I mean.. Im not sure but $130 for mainteinance seems REALLY unrealistic.. maybe $6000? dunno..

I tried to check if I could configure some of the above mentioned options (as I did to exclude the income multiplier) but found nothing..

2) already done, have a look at "scenario creation" in the documentation. You can set almost any value.

a) the market is the market, each time you make a flight the market change... sometime you have crappy aircraft
sometime not.

b) just make an hard landing in a 737 and let tell me how's the maintenance price
130 is just for cleaning the aicraft after a normal flight...
even real company with $6000 maintenance each flight would just bankrupcy after a few flight

not even possible to prevent FsP to start a flight if the aircraft is not in its last position (or better: airport)?

I had an £800,000 bill for repairs to the undercarriage after rotating just off the runway threshold. 66% covered by insurance but a hike in
premiums. I consider that quite realistic!

However I would like to add a "yes" vote to an option that your next flight should be from where you last landed. You could do that now I
guess by "saving" the flight at the gate after shutdown and exiting the FSP phase, simply re-load then file a new IFR plan then start the
FSP tracking.

If you want to fly from your previous postion go to the 'start a flight' in fs2004, then choose 'prevous flight', then choose 'make this the
default flight' box. I always carry on from wherever i left off and in whatever aircraft i was in.

this is surely a useful hint (and Ill try that asap), but still, in the context of a FsP fleet, if I own more than a single aircraft, it would be NICE
if the list with the plane details include its last position as well..

..even _only the indication_ of the position of each plane in a company would be an interesting upgrade (in the company fleet list).. (preventing a
flight from a fifferent airport would be another nice option)

I don't see the point in FSP creating flights that depart from the same airport the last arrival occured at. It would require lots of coding, and
then you've got people out there that want to fly in different parts of the country (or world for that matter) on different days. It would be a
wasted effort, since you could simply load a new FS2004 flight at the same airport, and do it that way. It might take you an extra minute or
so to set up, but who cares?

I don't agree, its not a matter of being lazy. I think it would be simply essential, for a company, to know where each of its plane is parked.

If we're talking about company realism..

If instead the goal is to write as little code as possible, yeah you're right, I can live without that option.. as I could live withouth a company
manager as well, and record each flight by hand using the notepad..

The same could have been said concerning aircrafts.. I KNOW what aircraft I own.. why bothering writing code to prevent me flying with a plane I dont own? I could simply choose a plane I own as its supposed to be done.. through FS2004.. I mean: if we take FsP as a mere flight recording/analysing tool, everything that goes beyond this should be treated as a unnecessary option.. on the other hand, I see no point in implementing a system that prevents me to use an aircraft I dont own, but allows me to 'teleport' it wherever I want.. the two things simply dont go well with eachother..

anyway, I didnt say FsP is useless without an option like this, nor did I mention ANY time schedule.. it was just a proposal for an option, based on the observation of what imho seems to be a partial lack of realism.

As I said be4, Dan (& team of course) great job!

concerning point (2) of my first post in this thread, after tweaking a bit some custom scenario files I ended up with exactly the challenging setup I
was looking for..

this is definitely the best add-on I ever saw and bought on FS9.. Great job.

My point is that FSP already has quite a few "extras" bundled with it, and I just can't justify it saving aircraft position in the first place.
What if I love flying with FSP, but want to fly KLAX-KLAS on Monday, and EGLL-KEWR on Tuesday? I don't want to be stuck where my plane last landed,
and I don't think the majority of simmers out there would. It seems pointless as an option too, because how many people would really use it? All it
is is a few extra words and restrictions thrown in place.

swafo, i dont get your point.

a behaviour like the one you wrote is simply unrealistic.

I guess we all agree on that (unless you live on another dimension where space and time are not like we know them)

stated that:

everyone is absolutely free to use FS9 & FsP the way he/she wants.. but again, if we want to behave unrealistically, Fsp should just let me manage a company that whoop! changes plane every 5 minutes as for magic, just because I would like to do so.. I dont understand why this should be different from your way of teleporting a plane all around the world just because you want do do it..

I can deal with techical difficulties, as I can deal with a 'code effort/benefits gained' policy as well (hell, Im a programmer myself for a living)..
..say 99% of the users dont care.. say it simply doesnt justify extra coding.. of course I understand that..
but I definitely can't deal with a rational mind that states:

a) obviously you can fly only with the planes you bought for your company, you can not do whatever you may want to do.

and at the same time

b) obviusly you can fly from wherever to wherever even if you never got there, because you may just want to do it.

simply doesnt make sense to me.
