Whats the number you gotta set the altimeter for when you landing ?

Oh wait..... its the setting you get from ATC about pressures down on the deck and aloft.... or by any other weather program we use in FS....

Its set to 2992 (or 1013mb) above transition altitude and below that it depends on the pressure zones currently in the area effecting your altitude.

Simply press 'B' on your keyboard to automatically set your altimeter to the new setting. Keep in mind that the longer you fly beneath TL, the more
you need to reset your altimeter, depending on the weather in the area ofcourse.

I usually fly at 5000 feet because I use the Mooney, Im starting small in the company.

I cant use B tho cause its program to another button in fspx

Open your options and settings and find the Altimeter. Assign another key to it and you will be fine

2000 ft AGL is a perfect altitude to set your altimeter. It will give you the nearest setting and keep your hands free for approach and landing.

Problem with this is that quite often pressures vary a lot. Say during approach ATC tells you to set 1015 and when you're down 2
mininutes later its 1022 at the airport. This is because ATC gives you the pressure AT YOUR LOCATION, instead of what it is on the
airport. Pretty stupid, but that's FMS/FS. This is why I have disabled penalties for alt settings. Or you will have to reset alt 2 seconds before
landing.
