Press Ctrl+Shift+F1 to shut off the engines, that shuts off the fuel supply, so if you want to turn 'em back on again, Press Ctrl+Shift+F4 and then
turn on the engines....Sometimes you don't need to though.

I Don't think Ctrl+E turns off the engines, only turns them on

ok......ctrl+shift+f1 shuts them down, thank you so very much, when I start out a flight at the gate I want the plane quiet to hear all the
chatter with the passengers and I like to hear my engine rev up,( Thats what my wife says...........lol)

If I am not mistaken, control +e turns on all engines of planes......
