Off course, I would not mind choosing other days in the week. (About the weather, I cannot change anyting Wink

But, to be honest, I am not
sure it is a matter of weather or day in the week.
Simply, nothing can remain new for ever , so what was a succession of events or a kind of "second life" activity became slowly a
repetitive scheduled task, then, loosed a part of its attract.

Some legs like Lukla, Baghdad or Courchevel where a bit privilegiated because of their specials uniques difficulties and got lot of
participants, but lets face it., the average leg between average airport when we have already done so many similars cannot compete with
some RL or Virtual new oportunities making us attracted, curious to see about

On my side, I don't like to leave things unfinished. I want then to finish this world tour. But, more likely, I would not start a third one.

It would be sad to stop our network flights which is now a part of the FsP community soul. But perhaps wa can change them into ponctual
events upon various thema. or do some close formation training (Tracker, what about a Connie air-show patrol able to keep cohesion
during tight turns Smile

or flights along valleys across mountains peeking higher than what our plane can do like in the first years of the
Aéropostale, races in town streets and under bridge with ULMs... ??

I won't be there as we land in Billund because the flight is starting 21.00 local time but I'll be there when we takeoff from Billund on
Saturday. Unless the legs are getting pushed but I won't like you to do that DBE.

America is waiting ahead and I can't say that's where I want to fly too. Somehow I am still shocked about that FsX europe autumn desert
airport. I mean that came from there, right? If it looks like that over there..brrrr.

I am jokeing but it contains a bit true. America is simple not that attracting to me.

And also true FsP has lost a little attraction to me less because the lukla more because it becomes a routine and because my world
round is more or less finish in europe.
About lukla or simular extrem challanges well might look like a little comming from the wrong one saying this but to me a good scenery
like USSS or an interesting approach like in hong kong (but no killer one that you have to train first to master it) has more attraction.

I did not take part in the last 2 online flights and I also did not fly them offline till now. Let's say so my focus changed a little.
I am not sure where I am heading with FsP WT2.... might be I do not continue..I don't know yet. Somehow I lost a little the focus in
simulator flying at the moment. I would like to make that FsX looking ok also in autumn. But I not even worked on this. Also I shoudl install
it proper ..download that posky A330 w for FsX and finnaly do a planed flight.. I didn't do it.

Everything I did was I trying to record a movie to get an impression how FsX can be enjoyable with the new hardware.
I figured too late that fraps didnt recorded the audio and so that work was lost. Also I had 2 CTD in FsX, somethign I don't know from my
FS2004. Well that is a littl demotivating.
But FsX is no more that bad looking after all if you can enable that blooming (That little checkbox makes the worst scenery looking a lot
more attractive and makes a big big difference) and have enough power for autogen set to dense thought with 10fps :/
I can take that but I am still waiting for the one hero that overworks that ugly ground and airport textures.

well let's see how it developes with me and Fsp wt2 I really don't know yet...I mean a break for me personel is sure good because of little
lost interest but the only problem with it is, that it's become hard to ever catch up again and therefore more and more unlikely that I will at
the end.

p.s. hmm just thought..maybe solution for me is to simple skip the destinations then and fly to the one for the next online leg .

That's precisely why I tried to find an add-on scenery for each leg. Of course, some are masterpieces while others are simple AFCAD enhancements.

Believe me: there are some more great airports coming up.

I think that one of the main problems with such a tour is the seasonal aspect: as days get longer and one tends to hang around outside in front of a
barbecue and a cold beer, one's joystick becomes a distant memory.

Since this is my first WT, I'm enjoying the online bantor as we pass the time between origin and destination. Ironically, it's similar to the
real life flying I do with other pilots in the C208 and ATR. We pass the time by chatting about a multitude of subjects...beer, women,
relationships,politics,etc,etc, but not necessarily in that order Wink

I mean, what else are you going to do except stare at the windscreen for a
couple of hours?

@ Dutch: Saitek sent me a master copy of the rudder pedal drivers and SST software. Got the CD yesterday and thought that the
drivers were going to actually install, but after it removed the previous Saitek installation, my pc rebooted without warning. I can only
install the X52 drivers and SST software with the CD that came with the controller. From there, I cannot install the drivers and SST
software for the rudder pedals. Even after going through the methodical process of uninstalling the software, deleting all files associated
with Saitek deleting OEM files, and removing Saitek entries from the registry, I cannot install the newer X52 drivers. I think the
downloaded drivers from the website were corrupt because it still indicates that there is a previous Saitek installation....even after
cleaning my pc of Saitek. Yet, there could be some Saitek remnants remaining on my hard drive that I am unable to locate. Saitek is
suppose to be calling me this evening so that we can start from ground zero and go through this process again. I have never in my life
experienced this level of frustration with ANY software installation.

I am perfectly happy with the days and times. I would actually slightly prefer Wednesday over Thursday (tv show conflict), but for me it works out ok.
I too enjoy the online conversations and lively banter we get up to sometimes. Plus, it makes me want to learn more things so I don't look like an
idiot when I'm landing and such. I'm all for keeping things as they are. I don't have any complaints as of yet about destinations and things like
that. If it ain't broke...

I am perfectly happy with the tour at the moment. It´s my firts Tour, I know, but there is something appealing to fly with friends and share
knowledge(of all kinds, Wink

), I have hundreds of flights with FsP but the World Tour adds that extra to the motivation.

I just downloaded the scenery for EKBI Billund airport, Denmark

The readme file tell about installation

@Pierre:Just throw any afcad in the scenery folder in your addon scenery. It's the best place for afcads Wink

@Joe: How is the rudder and stick connected, directly to an USB port or by some USB switch? Do you have some anitvirus or firewall (they also
do component blocking whenever they please)

About the WT, I did WT 1 and finished it all to the end. Then i started WT2 and yes, i somehow like to finish it. I can't always be online but will
try to catch up flights offline then. For me the challenge is to fly to airports where i've never been yet before and maybe would not have chosen to
fly to either. Sometimes some airport doesn't sound thrilling to me but then, like for example last world tour, we went over cape canaveral as a short
d-tour, that was really great. Last WT we started also with i think 15 pilots or so, the last legs were only flew by 4 or so Smile

I used to loose interest in the past for flight simulator but these world tours keep me flying all the time now Smile

And always some funny things happen,
like my joystick last flight, which only wanted to direct my plane to the right Smile

The online chat is always nice, and if a bit tired, i just look out the window to the scenery, trying out new addons etc Wink

Days are ok with me, though thursday and saturday are a bit close in a row, then after saturday a lot of days nothing till thursday again Smile

If there will be a WT3, i will for sure participate, but there should be some theme or challenge. This WT2 is nicer already than last one because for
this tour all airports have nice scenery or challenging approaches etc.

Both X52 and pedals are connected directly to the USB ports..no switches in between. I always turn off anti virus before installing anything
or before running anything related to FS9. I do not, however, turn off Windows firewall most of the time. Maybe I should try doing that
before installing the drivers?? The Saitek tech support guy has never mentioned anything about turning off the firewall before trying the
installation of either drivers set. When he calls tonight, I'll mention that to him. At least I hope I can get this resolved tonight. Nothing got
done on this issue last night as he wasn't at work Hunappy

Keeping my fingers crossed about tonight!

About that EKBI scenery Pierre was referring to....

Should I make a new EKBI folder in the addon scenery folder and dump the scenery folder from the download into it? Where would the
XML files go?

I do know that I should place the EKBI Afcad into the addon scenery/scenery folder but that's as far as I'm getting with it Hunappy

I think in the readme is something to copy all to the general scenery folder. I would not do that because i believe addons should be kept separate
from default scenery (easier to troubleshoot when necessary).
Best would be to create a EKBI folder in the addon scenery folder, create in there two subfolders, one 'texture' (which remains empty) and one
'scenery' where you place the bgl files. No need for the xml files, it's there for if you like to edit the scenery yourself a bit
