Just flew this flight again, but in a jet this time, and took a few screenies (remember my screenies aint up to the pro's (also not photoshopped in
any way) Decided on a nice early flight for today Plane climbing as the sun also climbs The money shot Hunting for swaying trees Found the holy grail - a swaying tree (right middle of screen)

VERY good screenies, Drew! I'd say you have a pro's touch with the screenoshots(let's not confuse that statement with "brown-
nosing" )

Absolutely brilliant pics, Drew! Now find a decent livery for that bus, and I'll send you the pro pic award

When you compare the real life images with Drew's screen shot, you realise how much work has gone into this freeware scenery:

I thought the first pic was the REAL one. The second one actually looks like poorly constructed freeware scenery

Remember in that pic you cant see too much detail as im still at 9000ft.
The other side of the airport, was just a red blob (thats why i used the plane to cover it ) But yes i agree, i even said it last world tour when i believe only Martin and me made the flight online, that the airport was great. After we landed i think we were online for another 20 minutes just looking around (and arguing about swaying trees )

Another reminder about tonight's flight.....I will be flying online at around 2300 GMT, so anyone not able to make the 2000GMT departure
is certainly welcome to join me.

There's a slight chance I might pop in on line today. Won't be able to fly, but I'll be home at noon PST, and want to make sure that I can
connect. If it works, then I'll be there for sure on saturday. If it works well, I'll see you all briefly today. As an aside, what's a good freeware (or maybe pay), propliner? I've been using the FSdezigns connie, but it always loses money for me. It is not forgiving of my style of flying (i.e. I suck, and keep hammering he gear).

Depends what you mean by "good", I suppose..
I hadn't much (if any) experience with props before the Tour and have thus only completed flights with these freeware models: - Dreamwings Dash 8-Q400 (needs a bit of "fixing" to get it flying properly => check the Dreamwings forum). - DH6-300 Twotter (a definite requirement for the Lukla leg: tends to slightly overpitch) - Fokker 50 (nice aircraft, ugly Flight Attendant) As for payware, I think the obvious choice is the Flight1 ATR-72.

I guess I could have been more clear. Something that's stable at low speeds. I get lined up for landing and everything seems to get
loose. I've tried to keep the speed up, and last time I ripped the flaps right off. Landing at -990ft/m isn't a record, but I'm sure it's close. The scary thing is thinking what I was like before FSP (yikes!).

I guess you want a STOL aircraft most of the one DBE mention are low speed aircraft if you want them to go slowish, especialy the DH6-
300 Twin otter. Its great for useing little runway and can go slow if you want. if it is STOL aircraft you are looking for here is a list of a few you can search for http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/STOL
