Passengers angry about arriving early

Hey just a thought; maybe in the next update; or in the fsx update (if successful) I think the idea of passengers getting angry because they
arrive early, is kinda weird. I dont think RL people would be angry cause they got to a destination early. Also causes problems on the
online world IVAO/VATSIM as Pilots try and do stupid things to allow their flight to be longer/shorter.

Well, I can come up with scenario's where it could happen.. How about the busy businessman which agenda is very full. When he arrives
way too early at his destination, he probably be mad, because he could have scheduled some more meetings..

Besides if you search the forum, you'll find numerous threads devoted to exactly this subject.

What challenge would there be if there wasn't a penalty? You don't have to provide an arrival time if you don't want to.

Exactly! If you fly a route that takes 3 hours you could set it to 4:30 hours instead and get a lot of points! Can you see it?

Besides, passengers could have made appointments with friends or family to come pick them up at the arrival time, if they arrived way
too early then they have to wait at the sometimes very boring arrival hall.

Arriving too early shouldn't make the passengers angry, but you still should lose points because of bad flightplanning.

So the only real thing that needs to be changed is the message. If you arrive too early, it should say that you lost points due to bad flight
planning. If you arrive too late, you should lose points because of angry passengers AND bad flight planning!

From experience, what really annoys passengers, myself included, is not so much early arrival, but then having to wait for ages to retrieve
their baggage!

Lol, you will NEVER arrive at the gate at 4:30. In RL, most normal(sorry if offensive to some of you) wouldnt mind arriving early...if you get
there early then theres some freetime for you...

Well i understand about the points thing; but what im getting at is (as a controller) I get retarded requests from pilots flying online;
because they are using fspax and found out halfway down the line that they are going to be early so they want to do something rediculous
to change that; or vice versa; people are going to cheat either way; either by setting the destination time way later or by flying direct instead
of through waypoints; in RL no airliner would be allowed to fly in a straight line from LA to New york

But you as a controller can deny such requests and tell them to shut up..

I was once IRL listening to the controllers of EHAM airport when a China Airlines cargo 747 came in. He was coming in way too slow and the controller
asked him to increase speed as he was below the approved airspeed (I believe it was 210kts). Other planes behind him were closing in fast, but the
pilot replied that he wasn't going to increase speed because he wanted to save some fuel.

The controller went completely pissed off and although he approved the landing, I am pretty sure the airline received a big fine. I am not going to
write down the exact words of the controllers reply, but he used the F* word quite often. That's the online time I ever heard a pilot not
following a controllers request.
