with every DC3 you have this payload model:
Warning this is an outdated image of the payload dialog ![]() of course one can do specific payload model Dan Post Edited ( 06-26-05 20:59 )

And here is the how-to:
If you try your MAAM R4D, the default "Load Aircraft Dialog" will not be of the DC-3, because the correspondig file would't match the name of the MAAM aircraft. This is something you can easily fix by yourself. 1. Go into the FsPassenger directory within the Flight Simulator directory and from there into "payload_model". 2. Duplicate the file "DC-3.ini" and rename the copy to "R4D.ini". That's it. I am currently preparing a real customized file "R4D.ini" for the 26 passenger seats of the original MAAM aircraft. I have to finetune some data during the next days and will post the finished file here. I will also try to have a nice image of the Gooney in the Loadout-dialog... Papa Zulu

good trick papa zulu, I'll add a RD4.ini in the next version... question
is there any chance that RD4 keyword adress another aircraft ? Dan

No, R4D (it is R4D not RD4 !!!!) seems quite unique to me and I do not know any other package containing that name.
But as you mentioned it: the new DDay-liveries of the MAAM DC-3 do not go on R4D but C-47A. So, to cover the entire family of MAAM DC-3 planes currently available two copies should be made like this: 1. Go into the FsPassenger directory within the Flight Simulator directory and from there into "payload_model". 2. Duplicate the file "DC-3.ini" and rename the copy to "R4D.ini". 3. Duplicate the file "DC-3.ini" again and rename the copy to "C-47.ini". That's it. (I hope there never comes the day, when we have to use "regular expressions" to match the aircrafts ;-) I will do my customization (which is to be uploaded here) only for the original MAAM R4D, not for the "Cargo" and "Passenger" version and not for the DDay-versions. But there will for sure soon be people covering all of them! If you want to customize the Cargo or Passenger-version of the MAAM R4D, take in account that those version are named DC-3, so the dc-3.ini file has to be modified, not R4D.ini or C-47.ini Papa Zulu |
