Some questions about failures

Hi at all, i'm very happy that we flightsimmer wiil have a revolutionary product as fspassengers.
I have 4 questions about it:

1) I have red that if i choose fixed failure setting, a fixed percentage of failures wiil affects all my flights; but my bad actions (flap or gear at
excess speed), with fixed failure setting checked, will cause the same failures with the same probability of unchecked fixed failure
setting?

2) With fixed failure setting unchecked, my aircraft failures are due to aircraft conditions and to my inflight actions only?

3) With fixed failure setting unchecked, accident as bird strike how can happen? and what controls the probability of this kind of accident?

4) weather can affect aircraft failures?

Hi pippo

1. If you set failures at 2%, 2% of your flights will experience failures. The level of failures (light, medium, hard) depends on a second
setting.
If you set failures at 0%, your flights will experience failures only depending on your aircraft maintenance status.

2. Yes.

3. Bird strike seems to be supported when checking at the beta forums.. Dan may correct me if I'm wrong. These are amoung the failures
that can happen only if you set failures to 1% or more.

4. Bad weather conditions affects passengers' stress and satisfaction. When you experience turbulence they will be afraid for a few
moments. When the flight is quiet again, they won't be afraid anymore but they will remember it : at landing, they will be happy that you
flew them safely to their destination.
Very strong and repeated turbulence can increase your aircraft wear. And anytime your aircraft is worn using FSPassengers, you may
experience failures, no matter what you set in failures percentage in the FSP settings menu, even at 0%.
So yes, weather can influence aircraft failures, although this is not direct, just as it is in real file. A strong sidewind will not break your
flaps, but if they are already worn .. hey.. not sure about what can happen then !

Of course, this failures setting ADDS random failures on x% of your flights. You will ALWAYS have to maintain your aircraft to fly safely,
whatever your random failures setting is 0%, 100%, or 63 % !!
