crash

Greetings,

Have just completed my 10 flights and as I was about tp park the aircraft after a perfect landing, FSP crashed.
It gave me a -1198 points after a 3.5 hours flight.

This surely is a bug in the software? Or is there a solution for this sort of problem?

Any comments please?

Actually your airplane crashed, not FsP.

This is a common ailment in the flight sim due to 'invisible' objects that you cant see but are actually there such as trees, buildings, or
anything that FS9 thinks your plane would crash into with it being there.

its happened to the best of us. You can turn off crash detection in the sim, and in FsP

Thanks for your comments, but FSP clearly stated it crashed. Also, how can the aircraft crash, if it has 2 meters to go to the gate.
I have crash detect off in FS9.

Ofcourse it happens to the best of us, but one should be able to at least have the option to cancel the flight in FSP.

Something weird, to say the least.

More than likely because the pixellated buildings are not matching up with where FS9 says they are. And Im going to take a guess you
went into external view when it happened moving the camera around?

FsP says you crashed because FS9 said you did

And you do have the option to cancel a flight in FSP.

to disable - go to fs9 folder - open fsp folder (start >progs>fsp>open folder) - then open confiq folder and view the more_options file

Thanks for all the replies, but here is something else, which I did not mention.

When FSP crashed, it did not give me the option to cancel the flight and a few seconds later, I saw myself back on approach to the same airport and
some 3nm from the runways.

Strange to say the least.

the chances are you have automatic record on (as i said above) - so if you hit some 'invisable' scenery, which causes a crash, it will
instantly record the flight

you can not turn this off, however if you ask Covoxer nicly, he can edit your database to turn off instant record

If the flight reset it was a crash in MSFS and you didn't have crashes disabled. FSP takes data from MSFS it does not give data. FSP can classify
something as a crash in its report but it can't tell MSFS that the plane crashed.

Unless you're willing to live with random death of your pilot and drastic loss of company reputation, you shouldn't have "instant record" turned on.
Unfortunately, once the option is set for your company, there's no way to "unset" it.
