Wow, war zone over Paris

well, no complaint. I know I can somehow edit the war zones. just wondered that Paris/France is a war zone - while approaching LFPG
my plane was hit by gun fire which resultet to severe damages to the hull. I had to declare emergency and landed safely. See flight log

Passenger Opinion: Very bad flight (42%)
-Were in a better mood because they had food.
-Were pleased by the music on ground. A very nice addition to their flying experience.
-Were anxious because they had flown over a war risk zone.
-Were angry because some passengers were badly injured.
-Were angry because you rolled off the runway upon arrival.
-Were terrified because of the problem during flight.
-Were relieved to land safely after an emergency.

Not sure why Paris should be like this...

I had my first run-in with the Demo war zone a week after I received FSP (as a Christmas present)... I knew gun crime was bad in America, but calling
it a war zone is a little extreme

I don't think it's a bug; it's just that some areas have a higher chance of an outbreak of war than others. You were just unlucky enough to fly in an
area which, while there is little war risk, actually was at war (in FSP's eyes, at least!)

Paris is probably set up like Washington DC. Fly over the capitol and viola, someone feels the need to protect the monkey in office

yep, just edited the war zone list and deleted eiffel tower as well as all other 'buildings'... not really a war zone :-).

Not a warzone, but i think it's tryinbg to simulate the anti-terrorists plans...

In France, we have lot a ZIT (temporary prohibited zones) since the 9-11... No way to fly within 5 km of a nuclear power plant, for example,
under 5000 ft...

Ok, in real life, they don't shoot you, only send a pair of Mirage to intercept... But don't fly so close the Eiffel Tower, or the House of
Parliament in London

I got hit once when coming to land on 27R at heathrow and that too in a vatsim flight. It was a missile at 7pm in the evening. At 7pm in
london everybody is in the pub drinking beer and watching football so how did the missile come?

I did set the war zones for Dan. So aim your missiles at me...

You were flying too close of Eiffel tower... The radius of the zone is really small, so it's really unfortunate for you...

But I think it doesn't simulate really well the pubs... Maybe in FsP2? If englishpub=open then warzone=0

Perhaps for zones that aren't actually warzones but restricted airspace you could activate the co-pilot making a statement like "hey we're
in restricted airspace, we need to leave now" And start a timer of say 5 minutes or something, if your still within the restricted airspace
after the time counts down, then you enter the "risk" of being shot down. Good idea? maybe not but I tried.
