Yup its recommended you sit down at an airport, monitor a controllers frequency so you can get the feel of the network and when you think you're
ready, hop on a plane and fly. Remember that phraseology is extremely important on the VATSIM network. It is also important you have the latest
navigation data [AIRAC 0803]. The Fs9 or FsX GPS is not the best navigational tool to have on the VATSIM network. If you don't have payware planes
with an operational FMC/FMS you should consider buying FsNavigator or FsBuild, or downloading a freeware tool, vasFMC. I hope that you enjoy the
