I will make a simple tutorial for those who want to post Thumbnails, to save space for folks with slower connections.
As some may have noticed the regular imageshack thumbnail link/code does not work. So here is what I do:
I took a quick screenie as an example:
1.) Upload the screenshot to a site like Imageshack, Photobucket, or any uploading site that will give you a simple link photo. Like so:
2.) Ok so this is the part it gets a bit trickier. I will make an example for those who use Imageshack first:
Right click the image you have just uploaded on the left hand side. Click "Copy Image Location": You should get this below
![[Image: fsscr043zu2.th.jpg]](http://img369.imageshack.us/img369/8392/fsscr043zu2.th.jpg)
Now it gets just a bit more trickier..
3.) I came across this handy code awhile back on these forums.
#urlstarthttp # [URL goes here, in this case the link to the IMAGE.] #urlname # [What you want people to see goes here, in this case the
Image of the thumbnail] #urlend #
*NOTE: When adding the URL to the code you must delete the http://www. part.
Example http://www.fspassengers.com/forum/post.php would just be: fspassengers.com/forum/post.php
So it should look like this:
#urlstarthttp # imageshack.us/img369/8392/fsscr043zu2.jpg #urlname # [ img] http://img369.imageshack.us/img369/8392/...zu2.th.jpg [ /img] #urlend #
Note: you have to remove the spaces at the number symbol for it to work.
The end result: A working Thumbnail:
![[Image: fsscr043zu2.th.jpg]](http://img369.imageshack.us/img369/8392/fsscr043zu2.th.jpg)
For Photobucket users, go into your folder and do the same Right click "save image location", on the small image. It won't have a
resolution bar at the bottom but it will still work a thumbnail. If you want the resolution bar at the bottom you would have to upload your photo's
twice, I believe, and the would be a pain.
Hopefully it won't be too confusing, I know it seems tricky but it really isn't. If you want..Just quote my post, copy the code, and add in your
photo/thumbnail image instead.
If you still have questions just ask, or if it seems to tricky and hard go ahead and post the regular screenshot, this is just something
I was going to try.
Now if you excuse me, I need to give my fingers a break
Cheers,
Ryan
