since traffic is not that dense in those regions atc coverage is scarce as well.
Usually around the middle east region you´ll find ATC above Cyprus, Israeli and Lebanon airspace, in rare cases you can find ATC in Syria, Egypt and Saudi Arabia has ATC as well and not to forget the Dubai region, as well as Kuwait and Iran airspace. The further you fly towards Asia the lesser ATC coverage gets. India is somewhat covered and parts of Indonesia and Malaysia as well. But as i said traffic in those areas is not dense so no ATC would like to sit in front of radar and wait for traffic to appear. Not to forget the daytime you´ll have to consider as well by the time you start flying people may be ready to go to bed. European countries (thanks to Eurocontrol), UK in the first place and of course major parts of the US have almost everytime ATC coverage and especially beginning Fridays and throughout the entire weekend, and yet again this depends on the daytime you fly, do not expect any ATC in the US if you fly around times in between 15 UTC. Personally i would like to see more ATC too to enjoy my online flights, but those guys cannot just come and beginn controlling like us pilots who just start fs and blast off to the skies...ATC might be rare but the more valuable their service should be for us pilots, thats what i think... So if you are seeking for ATC you could follow Notams about flyinns and city hoppings ect announced on the Vatsim page as well as through the network via radio. Get yourself servinfo to see in which region you can currently expect ATC service. VIctor
