A little tip i found - Imprving FS frame rates

Howdy.

Right - i have installed FS2004 on my sisters pc (She has a real crappy pc) and i didn't do disk defragment after i installed it and it ran
nice and smooth, i then restrated pc and did disk defrag and it started stuttering slightly. I can only assume its due to files going into
different locations.

BTW, sister has 64mb graphics card ROFL and a 1Ghz processor i think. (XP Pro)

Well that's quite strange. I thought Disk Defragment always help to improve FPS

Yep sounds Strange, it´s ment to have the opposite function. It places all the files onto the harddrive so its taking shorter time for the
comp to find them. So this must be a case where something else is behind the decreasement of your game. Or maybe FS is just a weird
game
