That does help! Just remember, when the "EXEC" button lights up, press it!

I might have pressed the APP button, I don't remember, eitherway, I got the bird on the ground, that's all that matters to me for now, from this point
I will refine it more and more until it's kind of in my spine and I can do it withouth thinking about it, just acting. I do remember that my plane did center on the crosshair following the glideslope and centering up on the runway and doing a landing, except I took control at 100 feet. It's morning now and I'll start doing som flights, then I need to study some japanese, stupid exam :/

Once both NAV radios are on the same frequency and you are flying towards the ILS capture point, switch on LOC on the autopilot then APP as well, she will do heading hold until the localizer comes alive, then once turned on to the beam the whole autoland procedure should begin, make sure too that you have both AP's turned on, as well as autothrottle and the autobrakes set. Make sure the autospoiler is set and pretty much once she's hooked up ... relax. The 600 is a sweetie on autoland and usually flares just right for a smooth touchdown. Flying for Landmark Airlines.

I bumped into another issue right now and I don't know what I do wrong...
After take off, I got FD on, I set that on ground, I got TO/GA on, at 500 feet with positive climb rate, I pull in my landing gear, But when I try to activate my autopilot, this plane can fly itself, it won't let me engage A/T... Everything else work, except A/T... I got a button flashing sayin A/T first... I have no idea why, I'm trying to arm the A/T but it won't let me and it tells me "A/T first" :/ I've tried engaging it at the ground too, same result, Feels like I've tried everythin, has my installation gone corrupt? :/

Hi!
Why in FS2004 do you need to know when to start your descent? Isn't it controled by ATC? Please, excuse my silly question, I've only used the default heavy jets of FS2004, and there is no FMC in those.

well im getting there, but still not right
i must have something set wrong on the A/P as when i change the FL in the FMC, the plane does not change any level and just stays where it is. could someone with the 737 do me a quick screen shot of the a/p selected buttons while in flight

When you change level in the fmc, press like holdlevel and then one of the lnav or vnav goes out, press that one again, and voila

ok tell me this, do i have to change the MCP ALT manually to the alt i am wanting? or should it do that auto via the FMC
i will get there, may take another 50 posts

I set my cruize alt in the FMC, and from there, I use the MCP to climb as the ATC tells me to, that does the guru a'la Brad say?

ah im getting it now. i just assumed that the AP would use the 'leg' altitudes from the fmc to climb to the cruise altitude.
tomorrow is a new day

once i break into the cockpit

Well, i should keep my mouth shut because i'm busy for two days already with the atr and the meridian. I had to make an emergency landing with
the meridian at some airfield called whitehorse in canada. Lovely place, mountains and snow but besides that it looked like a ghost airport And the atr is nice, tonight i managed to get it in the air but then pressed esc because things kept beeping and it made me annoyed |
