Problems when slewing

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but sometimes when I create a flight, I run into problems.

My aircraft starts at the runway threshold, the default position, I believe, then, if I go into slew to move it to a gate, for example, when I come
out of slew, the aircraft takes off!

This doesn't happen with every aircraft, I must add.

I'd love to know if it is possible to have the aircraft positioned anywhere BUT the threshold on creating a flight, or if anyone has a solution to the
slew/involuntary take off problem?

When you select which airport you want to go to, there should be a little spot at the bottom right corner that says active runway, change it to
which ever gate is available so you dont need to slew

Yes, I've tried that, but not all airports are so configured, Some only have runway options.

Yeah I'm an idiot! I never scrolled down through the runway/gate options!
