fs9 needs a fix

okay ive downloaded the flightsim manager and while i was running my scenery for errors it found 241 errors of scenery with different
terrain height, or something of that sought it stated. could that be the reason why my flightsim would just crash all the time? I was doing a
flight not too long ago from KSLC to KATL about 20nm being vectored in my flightsim crashed. yesterday i was doing a flight from Ksea to
Klax I was about 120nm out and crashed again. I cant even make money. I try to fly long flights throughout the night but when i wake up
sometime flightsim crashes already. So do you guys think its the scenery errors that was causing this. I still want to find out how to close
some of the programs thats running behind flightsim that i dont need. I sure still wish i have http://www.fstweaks.com because it sure did
help me a lot

use fsautostart to close some programs and processes, it works fine. What is in your eventlog about those crashes?

Can you be a bit more specific with this? I assume that it was referring to the scenery layer ordering as opposed to "height".

It is possible that the ordering of scenery (i.e. mismatched numbers, gaps, etc) can cause CTDs, however, I am willing to bet that if you
have at least 241 layers of scenery in your addon scenery, at least one of them is bad.

I have about 50 layers currently, and found one that was bad causing a memory leak. Out of 241, I can only imagine something in there
isn't working quite right.

so with flightsim manager fixing the error should that fix most of the memory leak? and as far as the event log where would i find that?
sorry only click send to microsoft and restart when i get a crash and it doesnt tell me anything... as far as fsauto start i will try that and see
what happens. And i think your right olseric the layer ordering is what it stated. also i think it was including megascenery items thats
probably why i have so many files. I dont even know

That´s how it works for me:

1.Install FS9, patch it, and start installing some must haves first. Once I get a solid installation with all I need, I start installing airports,
freeware planes I rarely fly, meshes, landclass and finally my FPS get worse, stuttering from time to time and finally Out Of Memory
problems, CTDS, and...

2. Install FS9, this time I will install just what I need, 2 or 3 aircraft, and 2 or 3 airports,...I get good FPS, very solid installation with few add-
ons, that´s what I say to myself, but what happens? I can´t avoid installing something new, like Ultimate Terrain maybe? It looks so
gooood, well, maybe some more airports and a mesh or 2? Wow, look at that ATC program, and that loogbook program and that weather
generator and.....stuttering,FPS drop,CTD....and on to...

3. READ point 2.

I try hardly to avoid messing my scenery.cfg, put the scenery layers the way they should be, uninstall correctly, I use FS Autostart and
Flight Sim Manager to check the error I might have but at the end, the problem it´s that I follow the aforementioned procedure (points 2
and 3 ) and I think that we might be pulling FS to its limits,....Once you get a rock solid installation in FS, stop there,...no more add-ons, I
mean STOP,...you can´t? Neither can I, so lets get used to installing FS9 regularly,...

Sorry for the off-topic samiranks, but I guess that you have to be lucky for FS Manager to fix the folder or file that causes the crashes, hope

well i havent flown since the fix yet. I guess i will find out what happens in a few. Of course i cant help but to get wilco 777 and by
Vancouver scenery. So i will see what happens once installed
