FS Troubles

Hey there all,

It has been some time since I have been on the forum..... having difficulties with FS9. I am trying to clean it up but not do a full uninstall
and reinstall but I am thinking that it is going to have to be done. Every since I have uninstalled Ultimate Traffic to install My Traffic the
computer will not load FS. Strange it gets right up to the last point in boot up and then closes the program...... and it takes quite some
time to load....... laziness in that I have so many addons that I dont want to have to reinstall them all is the issue, are there any
recommendations or am I going to have to just bite the bullet and do it. Uninstall and reinstall that is????

What is the error message that comes up when it crashes ?

Hey there Jaykae........

No message............. it just shows the splash screen like normal, takes some time to load up, HD is working away and then just when it
would normally bring up the flight menu..... it flashes the screen and then disapears. Weird. It does not show in the task manager.... but
my CPU is running at about 50%. I also just removed FSNAVIGATOR (DEMO), not sure if it has any relevance but I am thinking of just
doing a complete reboot. Delete everything and start again..... will take some time to reinstall all of my scenery etc etc but I think it could
use a cleaning.

Any suggestions are welcome of course but I think it only has about an hour of existence left.

If the splash screen is the last screen you see of fs before it shuts down, it usually means there is some dll problem in your modules folder.
Also about the traffic programs, rename any traffic*.bgl files to traffic*.old in your world/scenery folder....

After an evening of uninstalling and reinstalling I am sitting with a similar problem. Now though I can get the program to boot if I delete
the previous flight from My Documents, FS Files or whichever it is. Sim was up and running. Then I was departing from EDDF, put it into
time compression 8X) a bit early due to frustration with the time required to work on it....... and for some reason it went haywire,
overbanked etc etc. I quickly pulled it out of this........ and then .................... it froze and now it wont load any flights. I will play with it further
another day.... in a week or so I guess.
