On Friday, we received permission from Air Contractors, a real world cargo airline based in Dublin to create a
virtual airline based on them. We are
extremely pleased with their decision and now we want to get moving along with our virtual airline.
A brief bit of information about Air Contractors
Air Contractors is a general services aircraft and cargo operation based in Dublin. They operate flights all over
Europe and some charters to
northern Africa.
The Fleet
Air Contractors operate a partially leased and expanding fleet of dedicated and varied aircraft mainly on sub
charter contracts to DHL and FedEx.

What we plan to do
We plan to fully simulate Air Contractors operations throughout Europe. This means we will keep all our routes,
aircraft, and procedures up to date.
We will also include a full training system for all of our new pilots.
Our website will be up to date with the latest ACARS PIREP system which will make filling PIREPS so much
easier for our pilots. We plan to have this
virtual airline fully operational by late February for our pilots to fly on the St Patrick Day event held by VATeir of
VATSIM every year in mid-March.
Staff
At the moment we are looking for staff to help us fulfill our plans: The positions able are listed below:
Human Resources Director (HR)
As human resources director you will required take care of any pilots wanting to join our Virtual Airline and will
also handle any problems the pilots
have. The HR director will also make sure there is a good atmosphere within the Virtual Airline so that
communication between everyone doesn’t break
down. This position involves having to work closely with all staff in the Virtual Airline and will also require a lot of
patience and dedication.
Operations Director
The operations director will be responsible for overseeing all operations into and out of Dublin Airport. They will be
required to keep the schedules
updated and that all routes for those schedules are valid for the pilot's use.
Fleet/Graphics Design Director
The fleet/graphics director will involve painting new aircraft, finding new flight simulator models for pilots to fly in,
making sure the fleet is
updated to that of the real airline, and solving any problems that people may have with the fleet in general. They
will also be responsible for
helping with the design of the website and making signature logos for all management and also for any events
that the Virtual Airline would be
organising, which would be to advertise that event. Previous experience is required and must be presented to us.
This position may be opened for two
people.
Training Director
As training director you will be required to train all of our pilots to fly our aircraft and become familiar with ATC
procedures which they will need
to fly on VATSIM. This is a very time-consuming job as the training director has to make sure each pilot is able to
fly sufficiently online or
offline. This position may be opened for two people.
So if you are in any way interested in any of these positions or feel you can help us in anyway please contact us via
the e-mail's given below .
Closing date for all applications is the 27TH January. Once all applications have been received we will begin
interviews.

This Virtual Airline is somewhat different to the average Virtual Airline as we will only have trained pilots flying for
us and all real life
procedures will be replicated to highest level of realism possible. There are many Virtual Airlines out there based
on a real world airline but we
have set ourselves a goal to stand out and we will be doing this in several ways which we'll explain further about
in the future.
Thanks for reading this post and your comments would be very much appreciated.
