Not dumb at all.
You may need to go into your assignments and assign tail hook up/down to a key. Others I recommend are assign water rudder up/down to a key (a lot of aircraft use this command for various things like opening engine cowlings, baggage compartments etc), and one other I cant remember at the moment

I saw a technical dictionary and it says:
Tailhook, Gancho de cola. Probably won't help you much though.... ![]() ![]() ![]()

A tailhook is the thing that hangs down behind a fighter jet and "traps" or catches the line that is extended across the deck on an aircraft
carrier in order to stop the aircraft. As many people above pointed out, it is often used to control other functions like retractable landing lights, etc. ![]()

A wing fold is to open the engine bay doors and many other things like maintanence and things like that. On some planes like the 737-
200 it has retractable stairs.

Or it actually does what it says on the tin and folds the wings - as with the Corsair (which is what it was designed for).

Quote:this wil seem dumb No, what's dumb is the reason why I crashed an FSP flight today. Had my little Baron lined up perfectly, a little low on the descent as I had trees near the end of the runway but, I can make it. Nice smooth touchdown and about 157 ft/min and - CRASH! WHAT?! Forgot to lower the landing gear. ![]() ![]() |
