Not to be picky or anything but I have been speaking to someone who is a real airline pilot (ex TWA) who is very experienced and I asked
about landings, and was thinking specifically about General Aviation planes. I notice that the current scheme of awarding peolpe points
for landings seems about right for landing jet liners, but not suitable for general aviation planes. He expained that a good landing on
something the size of the Cessna 150 or Piper PA-28 should be "50fpm or less" in his exact words. I'm sure this sound pretty accurate.
So why are people getting bonuses for landing cessnas at 250ft/m? That would be like landing a jet at 700ft/m. Could the program not
take into account the size of plane you are flying? So no bonuses for landings worse than 50ft/m in cessnas/pipers etc. Just a
suggestion.
