Hello everyone.
Awhile back I posted that I was looking at getting a CH yoke or a X52 at the end of this month. Well after some deliberation I decicied to
hold off and purchase both the PMDG 737NG and 737-800/900 series instead. My reasoning was that I wanted a realistic cockpit that
would be a challenge to learn and I can tell you I havn't been disappointed. Just starting the engines the way I imagine a real 737 pilot
would was awesome. Whithout really looking at them, I e-mailed all the PDF manual files to my wife who works at a college for printing
and was quite suprized when see returned home with a 2 inch thick manual that she had neatly binded for me.
It's a lot of reading and some of it I dont understand, but in those instances I turn to the internet for some insight. In one of these
searches I turned up this neat site: http://www.b737.org.uk/ This kind of learning curve is probably not for everyone but I find it exciting
to learn and master difficult things. From just what I have experianced so far with this PMDG package I would highly recommend it to
anyone who strives for realism.
As far as my yoke/joystick purchase goes, I have decided on the yoke. It will have to wait a bit but I figured I would be flying on AP most
of the time anyway and a new control device wasnt paramount. Oh well, maybe there will be a CH yoke under the tree for me on
Christmas. Until then my trusty X45 will have to do.
Well, I have rambled on long enough, just excited I quess. If anyone has any advice, tips or websites that might be of help to me in my
endevour to learn this aircraft they would be appreciated.
