visit selected?

Searched, nothing came up. So I'm asking

What's the difference between the repair selected, and visit selected??? After a exceptional flight, I had routine maintenance on my
Queen - it was relatively cheap, couple of thousand. However, my visit selected was a whoping 3.3 million

I think (but will no doubt be corrected if i'm wrong) that repair just repairs the bits that need work, where as visit is a full inspection of
varying intensity.

As a side bar I had the oppertunity to have a look around BA's maintenance facility at Cardiff where they perform heavy maintenance on
747/777's . Amazing building - they can drive three planes in, and fold a mezzanine floor around at door level as well as cycling gear etc.

I believe visit is for the 25 hour and 100 hour check up maitenance

Reparations and visit is more or less same as for your own vehicle.

Reparation concerns an obviously damaged part which can be cheap. And work time is almost limited to make the change or reparation.

A visit is a more or less acurate verification off all parts of the plane. So, even when nothing is damaged, it take long to access some
parts and check them. So there is much more work time => money involved.
