Worst aircraft ever

I just flew what is undoubtedly the worst FS2004 aircraft ever. I will name and shame..it's the Posky CRJ-200.

Increasing power somehow forces the nose down, decreasing it forces the nose up, no matter what the trim configuration is. WHAT???? This is against
the laws of physics. Also, the plane does not stay trimmed in any way at all, the slightest bit up and it shoots up, slightest bit down and it shoots
down.

You need about 235234535 control inputs per second to keep it any where near steady on final approach. It really is really really crap. Considering my
experience on FS2002/2004 over the last few years...I've seen bad planes....but that takes the cookie.

I say this now because I did a flight in the thing....never again. Please avoid at all costs.

Actually, it is NOT a bad model assuming you have the latest FDE's.

Contrary to how most aircraft behave, the CRJ actually has a nose down attitude on approach, almost looking like it's headed for an
auger job.

According to the included manual from POS...

...At average gross weights, with full flaps and at Vref, the CRJ will have a -3 degree pitch. When landing, flare to +1 degree pitch...

A: No, it's common to see them approach that way. Go to any airport or check them out on airliners.net. Just try not to land on the nose
gear.

Make sure you COG is within limits too...that little thing is senstive.

Well it's not that I F***ed it up or anything, I did a good landing but just found its flight dynamics rubbish. I understand about the low nose
attitude and everything, but that's not the point. The control is everywhere, and as I mentioned in the first post it responds in ways that are
physically impossible in reality.

Actually, I can do better thanks. I can design flight dynamics pretty well as it is, I've made several myself. Project Opensky are known for
bad flight dynamics yet they don't listen to the user, they shut you up and give you crap or just ignore you. Have you read their replies on
their forum? Rudest people I know.

So yes, I re-created flight dynamics for the CRJ, capturing all its real flight charatcteristics, and it's much more stable and works far better
than how it was when I downloaded it. Anybody can make better flight dynamics than their CRJ-200 has. Believe me.

If you think I'm joking you shouldn't be reading this. Totally serious, there is noe xcuse for that lame crap. That's the worst plane I've flown. What flight dynamics version are other people using then, if mine is that bad, you must be using something better or updated. If so, I'd like to know please.

When I said the plane is against the law of physics, it is because the nose goes DOWN on APPLICATION of POWER and UP and DECREASE of POWER. That cannot happen, no matter what the flight dynamics are like. If only you could see me flying this plane right in my very room you'd know what I was on about. I could record a video I suppose, with sound so you can hear the engines, but it'shard to get people to believe stuff these days.

Funny thing is, that in all the flight dynamics I created, the plane goes UP on application of power, and DOWN on decrease of power. That is how flight dynamics work, period. It's the basic law of controlling a plane! I fly in real life so I think I'd know that!

I can make a case against that. Turn your autopilot altitude hold on. Get up and level at cruise speed...cut the power and tell me which
way the nose goes. It should go up as you try to maintain altitude with insufficient thrust. Now increase the power again and tell me
which way it goes.

An incorrect center of gravity could cause this to be even more pronounced especially on approach.

Not saying their dynamics are spot-on, because never having flown a real CRJ or even been in a full-motion simulator for one, I have no
clue how it should respond other than what I have read in the manuals and the like.

Project Opensky are known for bad flight dynamics

I've heard that several times over as well, but I must say, the A330 seems to be decent.

Well... I'm just speculating here, but...

If I apply an horizontal force in the line of the center of mass, the object will move strait foward.

-> 000 --

If I apply a force under the center of mass, the object will move foward but will tend to go up (I'm sure you have down that with billiard:
strike the white ball too low: it will "jump".

__> 000 /

If I apply a force over the center of mass, the object will move forward but will tend to go down

¯¯¯> 000 \
So... since a boeing 737 (example) has its engines under its wing, so, probably, under the horizontal center of mass, I guess its nose should go up when applying throttle.

Now, I don't know the CRJ200 at all. My hypothesis is: maybe it has its engines over its horizontal center of mass, so its nose should go
down when applying throttle and up when cutting them. Up in the tail ??? Strange...

Well... its engines are pretty high, over the center of the fuselage. So its maybe possible, in fact, to apply throttle and having the nose
going down!

But I'm not talking about the Polsky... I won't comment on it
