(I keep spamming the forum)
Hi!
I'm having serious trouble understanding this...I've recently bought the PSS Dash 8 (a Q300) and using it I can't make it from Arlanda to Heathrow
(ESSA-EGLL) without landing on fumes. I've tried to strangle the fuel flow but I can't get it much lower than 700 on cruise. (On climb it's over 1500).
Now, so far so good, but if I load up Mike Stone's SAAB 340b and make the same trip, it cruises on a steady 350 kg/h and I reach EGLL with well over
half tank!!! (Not to mention that the Q300 cruises at barely 180 kts while the SAAB blazes in 240).
Now, am I making something SERIOUSLY wrong, or:
A. Mike Stone's an idiot on fuel handling
B. The SAAB really kicks ass
C. PSS made a mistake with the dash.
Now, I am quite confident that PSS has quite accurate numbers, so either Mike did a mistake with planning the fuel flow OR the SAAB 340 is really that
cheap to fly.
Any help here would be hot...
