Repaint what?
I don't mean to be silly because it does make a difference in the extent to which you must learn certain techniques.

Here:
http://www.gjsmith.net/Tutorial/tutorials.htm Also try here: http://avsim.com/hangar/flight/tutorials/tutorials.html These two should cover just about anything there is to know about repainting. P.S. Once you figure it out, I've got some repaints on my mind that I'd like to have! Great! I went into this forum today with the question in my head as to "how do I repaint a plane?" I want to slap my logo on my purchased
planes and am just learning about how to exit the windowsBMP files. As I am a graphic designer for a sign company the actual editing is no problem but opening the BMP files is the tricky part. I've found the freeware program DXTbmp that I assume converts the file into something that my editing program Corel Photo-Paint can work with. So do I use DXTbmp again to reconvert the file back when I'm done? Is it a targa format save? I'm really stumped. Also, has anyone had luck getting their logo to load in the active company screen? I've read the documentation and made sure that the name of the file matches that of the name of the company but no luck. Thanx, Chris

Chris, HI,
I assumed you used the TGA to repaint ya logo at your Corel Photo. So now reopen it at dxtbmp program and save it as DXT3 format. FS uses DXTs format for textures. Some need alpha channel to show reflexes and transparences, some like tails, tires, cabins textures can be saved even in DXT1 to save RAM when loaded. Run FS and check if the new texture is there or DL FSRepaint program, a lil tool, very bad to paint planes but excelent to see textures on birds, the demo vertion can show your repaints no registred needed.
