First Emergency...

... Not caused by me that is. I wanted to make a flight from Scottsdale Arizona to Laughlin Nevada. But I didn't get far before I noticed a
fuel leak. At first I had to pinch myself and take a second look at the guages, but after a few seconds there was no doubt. Declared an
emergency and landed in a <really> small airstrip out in the middle of the Arizona desert. See report:

Dan my man, thanks very much for this fine piece of work! Ok, so this was an easy emergency to handle, BUT... not only would this
failure NOT have randomly happened without FsP, before installing FsP, I would have never landed out in the middle of nowhere on a
really small strip like that. (And have inadvertantly discovered a really beautiful sunset in that part of the Fs Arizona desert.)

Also I probably would have just quit, instead of continuing the flight. Now, instead of quitting the Fs session, I actually felt <Guilty> about
leaving my Pax stranded!!! I just HAD to fly the Cessna Skyhawk out there all the way from Scottsdale and then finish the FsP flight to
Laughlin! This is a great addition to the Fs flying experience. Thanks again!

When I have an emergency and land at an alternate destination, I always restart from the airport I landed at. Actually I do that for all my
flights.

I have 13 planes in my fleet and each one I note where it last landed so when I decide to change planes, I take off from the right airport

Last night I started a flight from King Salmon to Paduk in a Dash 8. Whilst I didn't have an emergency, I was battling an ever increasing
headwind and it became apparent that fuel was becoming a serious concern, so I decided to land at a closer airport. Wow, did the
passengers adrenalin shoot up when the hostess announced we had cancelled our destination. At the end of the flight I lost a little
reputation for not getting the pax to their destination, but I got some bonus points for making a shrewd safety decision.

Without FSP I would just have topped up my tanks in flight and kept going. It really does add a lot to FS9.

Hehe, I didn't have another FsP plane at AZ32, and there are no repair facilities there, so I went back to Scottsdale and started a non-FsP
flight in the Skyhawk and flew it out to AZ32 without pax. Then I started a FsP flight from there to Laughlin. Cool experience. Now I have to
pretend to have made a self-repair at AZ32 and fly the Skylane to KDVT (Deer Valley) without pax for some <proper> repairs before putting
it back into FsP service... lol. I'm getting really addicted to this! Too bad we don't have an option to fly FsP without pax.... Or do we? Is this
possible? I'll have to try with just some cargo. That way I could keep track of ALL of my flights in the company log...

Sure, just don't load the passengers. As far as I know, you don't loose any points or reputation, just the income.

You'll learn that FSP is a very DYNAMIC program. It has lots of hidden features and functions that make it what it is!

i got all excited on my 1st failure, was also a fuel tank :D 2nd was a fuel tank too.

3rd and latest was an bird strike on an engine on a twin prop, god that thing was hard to fly on 1 engine fun thou

Gah. Don't mention birds anywhere near me after getting two bird strikes on the same engine (well, the replacement for the first one, the second
time!) on successive flights in the same aircraft. I gave up, bought a new aircraft and flew that back safely! (Although it has had a serious fuel
leak since...) ;-)

I started with a 757 and only intend to go UP UP UP with the exception of a 737-800 for short hops. How boring to fly a little plane...

Yeah, try the career mode!! You can't fly the biggies without putting the time in on the smaller planes... DuH !!

Trust me, my first flight with FsP was a 737 and I accidently broke the flaps and gear by not paying attention to what I was doing....
Besides, its NOT boring flying a little Cessna in to Las Vegas (McCarrian Int. I think) with Ultimate Traffic installed and cranked up to
100% .

I just flew that little SkyHawk up there this morning and a Big Southwest 737 airliner cut me off while I was on final!!! MAN -- that little
Cessna bounced all over the place in the wake turbulence!!! For reference I was also running with Active Sky and AIsmooth, but the
AIsmooth ignored the 737 anyway.... I was expecting it to be dirverted but it flew over me with FEET to spare.... scared the living daylights
out of me!!

I was in a DC-3, on finals to KMIA, was watching a 747 pass within inches ontop of me, I forgot what was doing and crashed into the runway.
