Unexplainable crash

After a 2 1/2 hours flight, arriving for landing at EBBR with my A340-500.
Plane ok, passengers 100% satisfied with "Exceptionnal flight at present", landing weight ok, 1hour and 15 minutes of total fuel
remaining...

Descent ok, approach ok.
Take the Glideslope, speed at 160 knots, landing gear down, full flaps, nice weather, no exceptionnal wind, ... and at 2 miles from the
runway at around 1000 feet from ground... suddenly all stops and a FSP window saying "You have Crashed into a house at 105 feet from
ground" !!!!.. " but "no explaination for the cause of the crash" .. very nice!

Plane destroyed, all passengers (and me !!) dead !!

I lost everything: my plane, my passengers, my near 3 hours flying time for my log, my super pilot bonus for a long trip and very satisfied
passengers...

I am very upset !! and impossible to recover the flight as it it not possible to save it during the flight...

Before using FSP... I never had such a crash in such conditions !!
Any idea about the cause of my 315 dead passengers ?
I have no specific options set in the config files.. all normal...

Just using for many months normal Project_AI traffic but no other plane was landing on this runway during my own landing, and no plane on the runway too.. and never had a crash against other AI aircrafts..

Do you use some add on scenery? I always had those crashes in for example Penang, it always stated i crashed in a building while i was meters away
from it. Just disable the crash detection and you will be fine (or remove add on scenery)

No, I have no specific scenery except AI-Traffic..

Yes. I think I will disable crash detection for the next times !!

But what I don't understand is that I use FSP since 1 month now with different planes, also with this A340, also landed at EBBR on the
same runway, and all without problems until now. It's the first time it happens...

Very upset !! I have lost 3 hours of my time .. for nothing!

Wait until the sim crashes after a 12 hour flight

FS9 although a great program, is quite buggy the more you add to it. The more scenery, aircraft, modules, etc can cause some weird
anomalies such as building crashes. Normally this is due not because of FsP but because the building is reading in FS9 in the wrong
position (think floating trees, or crashes into buildings at the airport even though you are quite a ways from them. Or even crashing into
something that visually isnt there. Did you initially have crash detection in FS9 turned off before

No, I did not disable anything in FS9 or FSP as all seemed to work fine!! .. and I never crashed that way with this plane and airport's
runway !!

But now, as I use FSP most of the time, I think I will be obliged to disable all the "reality" options to be quiet.. but not so realistic

...and the FSP log is very laconic without explanation:

FSPBUGNOCRASH->currentdirectory=C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9
FSPBUGNOCRASH->Crash detected waiting delay= 11

????? !!!

Perhaps you never experienced this because your Fs9 usuall setting is "don't detect collision"
FsP FORCE the detection of collision of Fs9 (in brief it put your setting again on "detect collision")

Go to FsPassengers/config folder, edit the "more option.cfg" file with notepad and
set:

DisableForceCollideDetection =1; // disable the "force collide detection" feature of FsP

This said this not solve the root cause of your problem: something may be messed
in this particular scenery as there is an invisible building or things into it.

Thanks for the reply.

In my FS9 settings, the collision detection is not disabled and FSP too.

I tried to put everything in the same conditions as when the crash happened yesterday and I have made 3 new landings to this same
airport and runway, with exactly same approach and same plane with same landing weight, also at the same time.

FSP was running and I did not change any parameters in FS9 and FSP... and all these 3 landings have been totally successfull..
absolutely no crash

Really unexplainable !!!

But now, I will put the DisableForceCollideDetection parameter of FSP to 1 as you recommand it, but what about
the "DisableForceCrashDetection" parameter ??
What is the difference between "DisableForceCrashDetection" and "DisableForceCollideDetection" ?

Thats the odd thing about FS9, is sometimes things cannot be explained, and are near to impossible to make happen again.

Yes Savas, you are totally right

... and unfortunately, it does not happen only with FS9 and many Windows applications sometimes crash to desktop without any reason
with the famous "Fatal Error" message !

Disabling all errors and failures is better in FSP.
