An approach that becomes unstabilized below 1,000 feet above airport elevation in IMC requires an IMMEDIATE go-around. Thats why i wanna change the values. Furthermore, flightsimmers generally tend to delight bad habbits. If you work for an airline and you fly an approach that is not approved for 1000FPM or more, if you @#$% up the approach with 1200FPM, the company will ask you why...simmers tend to fly approaches for seconds even at 2000FPM, which is, in fact fully unstabilized and a bad habbit if you land and not execute the Mis App. Anyway im getting tired ... A possible solution ? Post Edited ( 12-06-08 00:31 )

Greg, I appreciate your willingness to look up some IFR facts, but I'm quite aware of the above mentioned. In my experience as a C208
pilot, I am certainly not making any approaches at 1,000 ft or more per min. I do know there are approaches that require a steeper angle than the usual 3 deg. glide slope, but I have rarely done those. Therefore, it is customary for ME to make any approach in the sim as I do in real time....stabilized, on course, on glide slope...pure and simple. I don't prefer to pick up the bad habits you mentioned. If others, including yourself, want to go crazy with picking up bad habits while simming, have at it. Now, as far as changing values in FsP, that's a Dan subject that only he can answer for you. In my opinion, there isn't a problem that requires a solution. You simply have a preference that you want adjusted.
