Hehe: great link!
FYI, FsPax is rather more down-to-earth than that. It calculates the price of an aircraft based on its weight.

I kinda guessed it was but it leads to very unrelistic cost when buying the aircraft.
One of my favorite to fly is the Eclipse 500. It just got its FAA type certific for passengers use. New it cose 1.5 million but in FsP it's over 3 million. On traid a plane they have two B272 one is completely customized for luxury charter but each of them are listed for less than 2 million. I wish I had a better idea on how to bring real (or just a little more realistic) aircraft cost to FsP

You can get killer deals on out-of-production aircraft in FsP, as long as FsP is told that the model in question is no longer in production...
... I picked up a Cessna 404 Titan for a song, but only *after* I told the program about the end-of-production date.

The weight, age, and type of engines (i.e. piston, Turboprop, jet) are factor FSP used when coming up with a price for a plane.
300,000 km/sec. Its not just a good idea, its the law.

Buy a glider made of cardboard that is ~70 years old and FSP will give you a very generous offer for it.
Buy a PMDG 744 brand new off of the KBFI runway with entirely new systems and that extra installed stair-casing and you might be looking to sell your company, its stocks, its planes, the name, the people, and FPS in general just to buy it. Gotta love international commerce.

We had this discussion so often here. What would have been the alternative, the developer searching for all prices for each and every plane on this
planet and implement it in this software? It still would not have been released by now for sure |
