FSX Taxi Lights Problem

Hi,
I recently bought FSX. It works like a charm on my laptop but there is a certain problem that i noticed while playing the game. The taxi
lights have no effect on the ground whatsoever. No, i dont mean they dont reflect through objects. They dont show up at all !!
Even when activated by the 'Taxi' switch in the cockpit, there is no light whatsoever. Has anyone experienced this at all ?
Another thing, while i fly the 747-400 in FSX, after every 2 minutes or so the screen fluctuates as if its refreshing or something. This only
happens when im on an active cockpit view.
Any kind of advice will be highly appreciated.

You can download the ground lights add on from avsim.net no idea why is not showing up though

Hi. Thanks for your help. Will definitely take a look at the link you specified. Could you tell me where can i download AI Aircrafts/Flight
Plans for FSX ? I need to enhance the whole feel of flying so I need alot of add-ons including scenery,aircrafts,miscellaneous
softwares,etc.
I've already checked out AVSIM,SURCLARO,FLIGHTSIMWORLD,FSFIELD,PROJECTAI & SIMVIATION but had no luck at these links. Any
other link where i could possibly find anything ?
This came to me when i downloaded a few videos from one of the sites above and honestly, the game couldnt look better without those
add ons ! So I'm in desperate need for it.

Yeah lol, I have addon night lights...Because its nice to do the occasional night flight.
