[SOLVED] Fuel Leak

Hi Guys,

I have been using Fs Passengers for about 4 months, and only in the past 2 weeks have I been having this problem, almost
every FS
Passenger flight that is over say 15 minutes, has a fuel leak, and it is always on the left side, is there a way to fix this?
or something?

And when I use time compression for the much longer flights, that also triggers the Fuel Leak, but it is incredibly annoying
is there a way
to get rid of it?

Two questions come into mind..

1. Do you repair your plane after a failure?
2. How high is your failure setting?

Yes every time I repair the Aircraft (s), and it still happens, and the company failure rate is at 15%..

Well, setting the failure rate to 15% is likely the issue. 5% is the norm but not necessarily the rule. I've got mine set at 5% and haven't had
a failure in almost 15 flights since the last problem. My aircraft is overdue for a major malfunction

Have you changed anything in the manual failure file which is in the fsp folder?

I set it at 15% Its less realistic, but a little more fun if the failures were more mixed around....


And No I hadent until I had the same failure a number of times, then I had a look at the folder but did not change it...
aside from re-
installing it is there a way to get the failure folder again? like resetting that area or something? or can I manulally edit
the failures to
increase all others but the left fuel leak...

Thats what I've got, Can I edit it so that I dont get any fuel leaks? (I am very over fuel leaks)
Do I set it to "0" and leave all the others alone?

what is the file called?

manual_failure.bak
or
manual_failure.cfg


If it is cfg, rename it to .bak, then manual failures will be turned off. If it is already .bak, then it is already off and that isnt your problem.

btw, mine says (not been ever changed)

SelectManualFailure=1

you seem to have 1 for both tanks.

Actually, the only parameter which has any incidence is the value following "SelectManualFailure=".

And that by setting it to one of the following:

I.e., setting "SelectManualFailure=2" will fling a couple of turkeys towards one of your engines, while "SelectManualFailure=0" will gradually empty
your left fuel tank.

And as Drew pointed out: providing you rename "manual_failure.bak" to "manual_failure.cfg", of course.

All of this helped, I deleted the manual_failure.cfg file (well moved it to another location just incase)

If you want to keep the file in the folder incase you want to add a manual failure in future, just rename the extension .bak (for backup) and fsp will
ignore it
