Unlock Code Lost

Most of the time, unlock codes will not be e-mailed to an e-mail address other than that which was used to purchase the software. This
prevents fraud and piracy. After all, I could register as you (or anyone else who I know has a valid copy of FsP) and request a code be
sent to my "new" e-mail address.

Best bet is to retrieve the code from your original e-mail address. An alternative may be to provide Dan with specifics about your order
(last four digits of credit card used for payment, etc.).

I, for one, keep both an electronic and a paper copy of all my unlock codes. Better safe than sorry.

i requested my unlock code with the registered email address i originally used when i ordered it, and iam not trying to put an upset on the
forum about this im trying to get the attention of a the fsp staff and you guys are just being very rude to me this is a support forum not
general forum if this problem doesnt get resolved shortly iam going to have to get a code from someone else and they will have to deal
with that!

Dan stated he sent your code to your original e-mail address. If you cannot access that e-mail address then one might suspect you are
not who you claim to be. In addition, getting the code "from someone else" will undoubtedly end in that code being invalidated from future
use. Who in their right mind would share a code with you after they've spent their own money on it? Not I. If "sharing" a code with
someone you know was so easy, you'd have done it already. This seems more and more like a case of you wanting something for
nothing.

I wouldn't be surprised if simultaneous uses of FsP under a single unlock code cannot be discovered by the hardworking author. Other
software companies do it all the time. Use a program and it fires off a notice to the author's server that such-and-such a registration
code is in use. If two of the same codes are received from two different IPs or at the same time....

The responsibility of safeguarding your(?) unlock code is your responsibility, not the author's.

So then go and get your code from your original e-mail address. Dan stated that he did send it. If it's not there, look in your SPAM folder.
This should not be such an issue, unless of course you don't own the original e-mail address. Or did you forget to write down the
password to that e-mail account, too? Perhaps you can blame the author for that one.

Then you should have your code.

Have you tried writing (i.e., e-mailing) Dan again instead of ranting on the boards? I know that if I were him the best I'd do for
you is send your code again to the original e-mail address or get you to confirm your payment transaction information.

heres the thing the credit card i paid with is no longer valid when i cancelled my credit card account with my bank. and i have sent a
request to FSP about over a dozen times now i do not have Dan's email

OK, well, that was not a clever move, but you did not expect this to happen Also could you stop going on about how you haven't received your
email... my only suggestion is to ask Dan to find you on the purchase records and send you another copy

Hey Newcastle Im just wondering Did you buy it from here or from SimMarket( sorry if this has already been answered. I did read over the
thread)

Because if you bought it from simarket it might still be in your account I think. Under "order details".

I just try not to forget the simple which are usually over looked.
