Reloading saved flights

Hi Dan,

I'm new to the forum so haven't really read much on it i'm afraid, so if this has already been discussed, then please give me a link to the
appropriate thred.

My question is:

Can we reload a saved fspassengers flight, so that we don't loose it everytime we have tp close down this sim.

Now this isn't that often for me, but, if i ever do long hauls, which is fairly regularly, i sometimes have to save the flight, as i might need to
go out or something, as 10 hours is a long time!

There are other reasons aswell, but that is just one of them.

So... payware aircraft are getting better by the day, and you can now save the panel state etc, so you don't loose the fmc entries and the
aircraft doesn't load up at F370 cold and dark!

I would love a way to be able to save the current FS Passengers flight, so as soon as you load your flight back up, FS Pax is there and
with 1 hour to go, you can finish the serving of drinks, descend, land and get your points

I'm just asking the question as i've lost quite a few long haul flights due to this, and my 772LR/774 arn't really getting used much.

This is one thing i'd love to see in a new patch, please can you inform me if this would be possible.

I do know there are a few reasons why it may not, simply due to programming and also people may try and cheat, by loading up the flight,
changing the clock and then resuming, making the flight seem alot longer.

Well I am not one for cheating but maybe you could incorperate something that on startup says: Do you want to resume FS PAX flight Yes
or No. then if you click yes, it locks the fuel/time and you continue, and if you click no, you resume without it.

OK - Thanks for the reply, shame that as i'm flying VRMM-YPPH today, which is 9 hours, and i may have to cut off thr final hour!

if you can leave your pc switched on, and come back to it at a later time, you can pause the flight??

Well it's the fact i will be landing at about midnight tonight, and won't be able to finish the flight for a week or so now, so i wanted to save it.

Just use time acceleration. I flew from Washington to L.A. today, a five hour or so flight, and, via 16x time acceleration, it was just over an hour.

no thats silly, and im a BAv pilot http://www.bavirtual.co.uk i fly real schedules, real world flight plans, payware aircraft, its only a few times ive
needed to save the flight, due to other commitments.

I can't stand the time acceleration! I guess it's all personal preference! Although sometimes in reality I wish I could use it!

There's no need to save the flight.
You may just pause FS (the <P> key), and put your PC to hibernate or standby mode if you need to go away.
Another way to kill the flight time is just to switch from FS to other tasks (<Alt>+<Tab>). It will continue to fly in background if you set it so in
the MSFS settings.
I use these methods from time to time, but I newer fall to time acceleration.

How would would answer ATC if you were not monitoring your flight? If you dont answer for freq. change you get "ATC Terminated Sqk
1200".
