I would agree on the choice Dan made of not being able to edit it. But it would be nice if there was a feature to change company name and flight
number, and then the changes would be shown in a newspaper article or something, kinda like when you create a company or pilot.

Well, theoretically it is possible. But it is much more copmlicated and it will be not quite realistic. You see, the first flights in your new
company were calculated upon the different reputation e.t.c. than the last flights from your old company... Besides different pilots, planes,
state of the planes, e.t.c., e.t.c. I don't like this idea. Down

But! I can do it a different way. I can create a new company that will have the max reputation from your companies, money form old plus
earned in new, planes that you chose (from existing companies), and a pilot with the flighthours of the old one plus new one (in case if
you have not transferred the old pilot into new company).
So in numbers it will look much like merging them except thet it will lack the detailed flight list.
What do you think?

Well, I get your point. But, how may games do you know that allow you to freely edit your in-game status and resources? Like money, level
e.t.c.? It just looks like I know none. Wonder

I guess the reason is a psyhological feature.
I'll try to explain, if you don't mind.
So, it's definitely not that hard for the game developer to add such an editing capabilities. Infact, these are often made as a testing
program for debugging purpose. Other games, for debugging purpose have so called cheat codes. They are not intended to be widely
known though. Wink

So why don't developers want t let players o whatever they want?
It's simple. Obviously, many users will not stand the temptation to use those cheats and as a result they'll get the game through wery
soon. Then it will be not interesting to play this game any more for them. And this is a really bad idea for any game developer. The more
time and more users play the game the better reputation it has and that eventually ends up with better sales.

So no, I do not agree with idea that any user can change anything he want. The level of these limitations is defined by Dan as he is the
creator of FsPassengers. And I do not want to make any negative influence on the success of this great game! Top

I am currently thinking about the tool that may add additional management for FsP. I can make it able to edit pilot/company name,
company comments and pilot biography, edit flight numbers (good idea!), and some other stuff that I find to be not a cheat. Wink

Also Dan's approval will be necessary as to the question of what info can be edited.
So, no chance for pilot level, money or other vital resources editing! Turning

I don't remember exactly it seem to me I write you a PM about this Wonder

anyway you have my approval of course for pilot and company name editing.
be warned about the flight ID anyway its used on various check and
also on check when you use the "export" feature... that may cause problems.

There's one person I can think of that would spread it to the galaxy, but best not get into that right now.

That sounds nice, Covoxer! Mabye you should get in with that guy making a micro management addon for FsP, I think it's called MyVA or something to
that effect.
