Aborted flight due to engine problem no results??

I'm not sure if I did this right but I had to abort a flight before takeoff due to one engine not coming up and FS Passengers just aborted the
flight without giving me any credit.

Here was the situation. PSS Airbus A319.
Was cleared to taxi into position, moved onto the runway, and begin running up my engines slowly. I noticed the right engine was not
moving (not sure what it's called but the N% something) and it's temperature was higher than the right, and I think it's fuel usage was
higher. I ran up the engines with the parking brake on for probably 10 seconds..(maybe 1/2 throttle?)

In the manual it says to abort the flight in this case and you'll get credit. Well, I tried to end the flight and it gave me two options Abort and
Continue. I chose abort and that was it.

Was I supposed to declare an emergency on the ground first?
What did I do wrong?

Did you set your parking brakes first?

I just held the brake (trigger or period)

So I need the parking brake on eh?

Ok it still doesn't work.
I got the same problem again (I own a very used A319 lol) but I don't get any credit for aborting the flight.

I noticed that my right engine had little power. I parked on the runway, ran up my engines with the parking brake on.
CTRL SHIFT I gives me nothing...

What am I supposed to do? The manual says I'll gain bonus flights for ending my flight but all I get is an aborted flight with nothing.


I must be doing something wrong. Is there a setting I'm missing?

Do you just simply abort the flight, or end it like with parking brake, seatbelt signs off, open doors etc?

hmm.. I just abort...that's what the manual says to do..

from page 21.

"While running up the engines prior to takeoff (as you are supposed to do) you notice that your engines have asymmetrical thrust (90%
N1 and 85% N1 for example). You must abort the flight immediately and click "end flight". This is the ONLY case in FSPassengers were
you may end your flight without taking-off, you will gain bonus points if you end your flight because it is the correct procedure for such a
failure".

SO this is what I did.. But I guess from your reply that's not right?

Next time it happens, I'll set parking brake, then shut everything down as in a normal flight..

If you want to abort a take-off you need to have speed first.
I experienced the same problem.

I believe FSP doesn't understand that you noticed the problem with the engine unless you really ABORT your take-off.

So accelerate and at, let's say, 80 - 100 knots, set your throttle to N1, use your speedbrake, (you should have your autobrake set on RTO,
so the plane will automatically brake) and as soon as you slowed down you will hear the announcement to the passengers that you have
aborted your take-off. Then you can end your flight and gain points for it

So first you need to get to about 80 knots i think.
