dan, some help please

Dan, I know your busy, but I need about 600 penalty points removed,
Here is the scoop, I took a 4 hour flight from Alaska to Russia, somewhere about 10,000 ft MSL FS9 started screwing with me and jerking the plane around really bad, I mean it spun me about 30 degrees each time it did it was that bad, next thing I know I get a siren going off, landed perfectly, and yet I get 600 out of 629 points blasted cause 1: FS9 screwed me over, 2: I
cannot afford $30 for a stupid little DLL file that should not cost so much, I mean for petes sake, its almost as expesnive as FSP and yet more work
was put into FSP.

Dan, I really need these points, could you please help me out?

ehem...not to defend anybody but without FSUIPC (if that's what you meant) today we wouldn't be were we are with flight simulation...

just my 2 lire...

Sorry no, 600 points is not that much, also there is a good reason: if I do that for you with such a small point amount
I'll end soon with 4-5 (10?) database to edit each day. correcting a database can take 15 minutes... 1 hours
lost per day. add mail answer, sales support, people that forget their unlock code (5 per day)
Forum answer (1-2 hours also) and I would not be able to work on FsP anymore.

Also FsP in not in fault here... I personnaly never had weather problem even without FSUIPC.
I'm sure there is a solution.

FSUIPC is too much, it may have helped, but for petes sake, 30 dollars for a dll file???? please, thats well overpriced, I bought FS9 for that much.
Its getting to the point where its hard to download anything for flightsim without costing me an arm and a leg.

Dan, you are lucky, this is the first time I had anything that severe, but still Ive been screwed over by FS9 time and time again, any freeware
programs to make this stop???

"Make this stop"? That sounds like you continually experience this issue. Fix FS9, as that is clearly the problem. It is not FSUIPC either. If
you constantly experience the problem, consider yourself lucky, as the only way to solve a problem is to duplicate it.

Also, you sound so desparate over the cost of this and the cost of that!! YOU LOST 600 POINTS! POINTS!!! The cost to solve the problem should cost
exactly 0. Dollars, Rubels, Euros, or points.

Actually I think over the years a lot of work has gone into FSUIPC and for what it can do it is worth the registration fee. Don't forget all
updates are free for the lifetime of FS9, maybe into FS10 when it finally gets released too. It's a one off, unlike some aircraft where the
first amount buys the base plane then on top of that you have to buy the extra liveries. (I only know a couple of companies that do this but I
still think it sucks).

I agree FSUIPC is not cheap, but it does do a lot of things, for example you can't have a working radar w/out it, I believe that includes the
WX radars too. It can smooth wind changes and visibility. Help in troubleshooting control issues, and a myriad of other little things to help
your simming enjoyment.

this is an FS9 bug ok, Im not the only one who experiances it, ask around. All Im asking for is somthing to fix it untill I can afford to buy who
knows what. I have plans to build a cockpit (for about $500 or less) and will require FSUIPC, but for now I need some way to make this stop.

Did you try to use the "smooth wind" parameter that is in Fs9 weather ?

I think that's in FSUIPC.


Keep in mind that FSUIPC has been in development for MANY, MANY years. It's well worth purchasing. True, it doesn't add the "eye
candy" or visual appearance that FSP adds. Although, you can rest assured it does feature a lot for your money.

Sovek, I agree that the price of 30$ is quite high regarding what you get in addition to the free version. I'm really grateful for the effort Pete
Dowson puts into this since years (almost since I remember sim-flying; and it was totally free for many years). But I think he's making a
mistake with the price. If FSUIPC would be around 15$, I would'nt have hesitated so long to register. I did it now 2 weeks ago and I'm glad
I did. I really hated these wind shifts by FS "real" weather every 5 minutes. Now they're gone and I'm flying much more relaxed.

I don't understand why you are complaining on this forum about the cost of FSUIPC, Dan doesn't write it, and has nothing to do with the pricing.
You surely can't expect Dan to spend his time (which could be spend improving FSP), and by virtue of this my money, and the other people who have
purchased this product) hex editing your database just because FS9 slammed you. FSP has a facility to stop people losing points due to errors, either
your errors or FS9 problems, simply don't have the autolog enabled, that way you can choose if you record the flight or not. It has saved me many
times, when FS9 decides run like i'm connected to a PC based somewhere on the moon!

I don't know why you are still fooling around with FS9 weather. Months and months ago I downloaded FSMetar. It's freeware if that's the
problem but it's also far superior to FS weather. In all the time I've been using it, I've never had a wind shift problem like you describe. Oh,
also, Pete Dowson has furnished the FSUIPC code to make FSMetar work, even with the unregistered version.

Brad. the only thing I use FSUIPC is for SB3, other than that, I dont have any planes that need it, no programs or such, so untill I have the funds to
start my cockpit, I really cant see any reason of registering it.
