Pilot ranks ??

Hi i recently got FS2004 and immediatly started looking for nice free planes and addons i tried FsP and was amazed how fun and challenging it is so i
bought it.

But now I hav my VA at career mode and Low cost, started flying crashed alot (did not record these, sorry), forgot flap alot and gear detract.
Now i finally managed to get him up to c1 which i was amazed to see Commercial pilot rank while your manual says c1 is private pilot also i got this
C1 commercial pilot rank with only 300points (minimun) and 5hours of flying.

So what do i have to follow? since according to the manual i am now allowed to fly a multi engine prop plane of 5511lbs it tried this
but i could not even take the cessna grand caravan with an empty weight of 4500+

So i guess i'm stuck with my Cessna 1842 Skylane ?

Is the rank ingame wrong ?

Actually, when you start a company you can select the aircraft you want, and click "Buy this aircraft" (you much have enough money of
course). I started with a PMDG 737-700.

That seems kind of odd.I did career mode and finally he is C7, but I still havent enough money to buy anything more than a very old MAAM
DC-3 *grins* but not sure why you are Commercial at C1

well i just restarted fs2004 and looked at my pilot details again and now it seems that only the splash screen for my promotion was wrong as my rank
is now showing private pilot

btw at commercial pilot should i look for a plane with less then 5511lbs gross weigth or empty weight?
