Let me just start off by saying I have no idea what this would encompass with regards to programming so I might be asking for more than can be expected... I don't
know.
Anyhow.
When we create an FSPX company and pilot, as well as buy aircraft, all the information is stored locally on our harddrives. This means noone else can really fly for the
same company as me. I did some research and I think the only solutions amounted to something like trading the database folder back and forth and not flying at the
same time. This is a bit cumbersome and awkward.
But would it be possible to make a dedicated server type of database for FSPX. That way we could "host" the database, and other pilots could then access it and create
a pilot for a company there and fly with that pilot.
This way two (or more) pilots could be in the same FSPX company, do flights and earn money into the same cash flow.
The next step would be that two pilots could do the same FPSX flight in shared cockpit and get the same rewards (and possible malfunctions).
I tried to do a shared cockpit with a friend where we both used FSPX flight at the same time. It kinda-sorta worked, but we were both working for different companies (as
per our local database) and we had a different flying experience cause when I turn on music it makes my passengers happy but his don't hear no music (since the
FSPX flight is only running locally and the two FSPX flights don't synchronize or interact).
Anyhow to summarize a bit:
- Dedicated database accessible for more than one pilot, hosted online.
- Synchronized FSPX flights when doing Shared Cockpits.
Is this at all possible or is the magnitude of such a project off the charts?
Thanks for reading.
