It makes me laugh to read the rantings of people with single digit posts about buging Dan for an update.
Folks have been screaming for updates and patchs for years to no availe, with no end in sight to the wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Everyone should get over it and face the fact that they are going to have to learn how to land and that FSP and FSPX were written for
Windows XP, NOT Vista or Win 7. I'm sorry but these are the facts and they are undisputable.

Edit: And by the way please quit crying about there being no support. There is no support other than the other people who use the program alot and have figured out how to fix a problem here and there. Thank you for your time and attention.

Hah. you make me laugh, so much for customer service a good program should be kept up with updates at least one every other year.

Yes I have tried contacting him through the contact link multiple times and no reply, that's why I resorted to the forums, I don't even like forums I prefer individualized emails.

Speaking of blown tires what to dissent rate do you have on touchdown and is your default crash tolerance set to low?

Lowest decent rate I've blown a tyre on in a 738 was 535 fpm; in my 772 I've yet to blow one, but I've bent plenty of gear struts landing at 700+ fpm
for various reasons.

FSP/FSPX overrides Flight Simulator's default crash tolerance levels with its own set of values.

You and 372,694,168,001 other people want to converse with Dan directly and it never happens. We have gone months at a time and not
heard from him. I am nothing more than a "user" such as yourself and have learned to live with the reality that this is all there is or ever
will be in terms of this program. It's as simple as that.

heard from him. I am nothing more than a "user" such as yourself and have learned to live with the reality that this is all there is or ever

Well said, exactly what I was getting at. Some of the bugs are pretty bothersome. But I cope with them, and still enjoy running FSP.

When I buy a program, I don't feel that I am buying a product. I feel that I am buying a product and a service. I expect that the developer, whether
it is a small one-person developer like Dan, or a massive corporation like Microsoft, to offer support and provide updates for a reasonable period of
time (at least while the software is being sold). This is especially the case when an add-on costs almost $50 USD. I've bought apps from Google Play
(when it was Android Market) for $5, needed to contact support, and got responses within hours from one-person developers. They also release updates
to fix problems at least monthly, but typically every two weeks. What's going on, here?

I'm a programmer too, and I get that Dan put a lot of work and effort into FSP, and I respect his work. I just feel that Dan should continue to work
on it and provide some level of support. This is preventing me from wanting to spend the money for this great program, since customer service and
updates are more important to me than the product itself.

Because I am retired military and don't have a real life outside the laundry and vacuming the north wing of my castle I did a search with
the word "update" and found 1,564 hits. The very first request for an update was from someone called "itael" on 03-15-05. He is still
waiting.

No offense intended gbapache ... but just cause someone has a low post count doesn't exactly disqualify them from asking for developer updates.

A customer is a customer, if they post 200 times a month, or never

I tend to agree. I'm not saying I'm a fan of the lack of support or fixing of bugs. I think its pretty reprehensible, and would never run it this
way myself. But obviously Dan has chosen otherwise. I get by with the bugs since there isn't any other choice. Now, if Dan were to try marketing
another product, I wouldn't be too likely to get it, either.
