Wrong authorization message! need solutions.

For some reson in the middle of evry FS passengers flight i make it gives me a Wrong authorization message at the top of the screen and
kicks evryone off the plane and i can't do anything about it someone please give me a solution or tell me what is going wrong and how to
fix it.

you are wasting your breath...that's all you will ever hear on these forums..no one can actually offer a solution...it's sad really how such a
good program offers absolutely no customer service..I am in professional sales and if I offered this poor of customer service; in fact, not
even advising that I am busy working on a solution to this very common problem i would have no customers left. Dan, I have sent you
numerous personal messages, and one last one goes out today. I will give you this..it's the best product of its kind, however, with a
developer that has no customer service skills whatsoever. Shame on you for that. You might as well consider yourself a thief.

Regarding Sean's comments, I recently contacted Dan myself using his Orbiter page (http://orbiter.dansteph.com) and not the contact information on
this site. He uses a different email address there. He also uses some type of fancy spam mail blocker, so for your message to go through, you have
to agree to add yourself to his safe senders list.

In any event, he did respond back to me within hours. Here is our conversation, beginning with what I said to him using his Orbiter website:


"Are you the Daniel Polli who is the author of FSPassengers? If so, may I suggest that you actually visit the fspassengers.com forum on occasion
as there as many people there looking for you."


He replied with:


"I'll have a look. There is billions mail already so can you tell me what specifically need me on forum ? Best regards Dan"


Since he asked, I took it upon myself to convey the following to him, which I think reflects a lot of people's opinions here:


"Dan,

I'm happy to see that you have already posted to the forum. Since you have asked though, I'll elaborate on what I think the situation is.

I am a relative newbie to the forum, but the general consensus seems to be that you have abandoned this product. All you have to do is look at the
"Latest news" link to see that it's been almost 2 years now with no news.

I think you need to do one of two things. One, make a statement on the website/forum indicating that you are officially no longer supporting or
providing patches for FSP and that asking for help in the forum will be the limit of the support provided. Or two, you indicate some time frame as to
when the next version or patch is coming out and address some of the bugs and/or enhancement requests that have been posted in the forum.

I also think you need to start responding to posts more often. This particular post stands out and makes you and your product, quite frankly, look bad:

I am not trying to be mean or a jerk here. I think you have a good product and I think you should continue with it or officially kill it, one or the
other, but don't leave your customers hanging like you have been.

It's okay if you're done with FSP and don't want to develop it anymore. It's your baby and that's your right. You have several options as I see it.
You could sell the code to another developer, you could release a SDK and let others work on it, you could continue working on it yourself and
release a patch or you could put it to rest with a statement saying as much. All I'm saying is...choose one of those options instead of doing nothing.

Thanks for including the messages you sent to Dan. The "officially kill it" suggestion sounds ominous, though...! I happened to add the first post
after the one by Dan (to which you included the link), so, if he reads it, I hope it will echo what you've suggested in the last (bold) paragraph of

i'm sorry but I think he needs to tend to programs in which he earns a profit from people first than his freeware orbiter add-ons that he
obviously spends a lot of time on looking at his posts and the amount of add-ons he produces for that program. I do not give him the
benefit of the holidays. He has had the benefit for too long in fixing this problem. he either fixes it or gives everyone who is having this
problem their money back..plain and simple.

I agree completely...my "holiday season" comment was simply that a lot of people travel for Christmas/New Year's and it seems by the news reports that
half the planet is stuck in an airport somewhere right now, so I simply meant let's wait and see once January arrives if Dan returns from the abyss or
not.

You are right though...he's charging for it and so he needs to support it somehow.

Now it's my turn to see that my FSP get the wrong autorization (im using windows 7 64bits) and i see in the different post in the forum that
there's no solution to fix it...i even try all the solution found here but nothing works.

So what now ? the end of FSP ? can't imagine that, that is not possible guys !!! Flying will be not the same now if FSP is going to death !

Maybe the solution is go back to the past and use windows XP...or just found another add-on that will replase FSP -_-"

I left Daniel emails/messages from this site and his orbiter page. The perception that I am getting as usual is that he really does not
care about the customer. I have found another add-on that might be of interest to those looking for other options. these three come to
mind. http://www.fscaptain.net, http://www.fseconomy.com, and the one I started using (http://www.fsairlines.net). The last one is closest to what
FSpassengers and I have to say that so far it has not crashed on me!!!!! :-) For those that want to start their own airline it is a 40.00 CDN
yearly subscription but they give you a two week trial for platinum (which means you can start your own virtual airline). The other
membership plans are for pilot only. After a few flights and some playing around the website I paid the 40 bucks....like I said, no
crashes......

Thanks, ywg256. For the in-flight side of things, FSCaptain looks the closest (on first sight). Has anyone any experience with it?

i haven't tried fscaptain but I am more interested in the economics side of flight sim si personal choice....here is
some info on Dan Polli
for those that are local and can phone him to get his butt on these forums to tell people he is fixing the wrong
authorization...i'd do it but far
from where he lives...

Alright folks, it's one thing to have your say peacefully on here but it's another to post someone's personal information on the forum....in particular the developer's. This will not be tolerated. I will add...it doesn't matter if it's Dan's information, mine or anyone else's personal information. This is absolutely against forum rules. Moreover, I have personally messaged Dan regarding the topic of this thread and others related to it. He is keenly aware of the Win 7 64 bit/FsP/FsPX issues. He is pouring through hundreds of emails now but I have no clue if he has actively worked on a permanent solution for this particular issue. We can only hope that Dan will respond to this in the very near future.

I know patience has run thin or completely out for many Win 7 users who continue to have problems using FsP/FsPX. I sympathize with you all. Dan is the only person who can effect a change here.

who says it's just a win 7 problem? I have it installed on both my xp and win 7 partitions and neither work. well maybe he should start
responding to peoples messages/concerns on the wrong authorization with either "yes, I am working on it" or "I have abandoned the
product, you are on your own". He brought the madness of this issue onto himself. You cannot deny that.

The majority of cases being reported here are to do with Windows 7. Those to do with Windows XP did have a surefire solution posted
