Further more, pilot student, that are starting their carreer with an ATPL need not to fly cessna for month. Normaly, they start their carreer

commercal aircrafts. There should be a possibility to play it the same way, nevertheless with some carreer restrictions. So in my opinion the best way
would be, to let players choose the start level, as guenseli pointed out, already.

And you can get an ATPL from flying Cessnas


No one usually starts as an FO for an airline , unless your very luck, or there is a cadet program or such.

Realism, realism...

We are all virtual pilots... say far away from realism...

If you can reach your points and satisfy your passengers in a huge airliner in FSP, than everything seem sto be ok, or not?
So why be tortured through a complete VFR career to be able to fly airliners-career.




To shorten the discussion a little bit:


Could you image that the following points could be fullfilled with an (possible) update:

1) Renaming the pilot (maybe against cash)
2) Renaming the company (even against hard cash, too)
3) to be able to start a career as ATPL or better at every stage you want....

That's a good idea!!! Perhaps, having two modes:
- normal mode would be the same as it is now and free of charge
- quick mode would work as you described and would be charged either by lesser flight income or an one-off payment when setting up the airline

I'd really like to get back to my flying again but just the though about over 100 flight hours to get where I was...

If you were really desperate to get hours...

Start a "fake airline", transfer your pilot there, Get a plane... turn unlimited fuel on, and take off, leave and just let the plane fly its self,
with time compression on (x16) and do your day, go to bed etc, wake up and you'll have some hours there....


Thats if your really desperate for your hours....

I'm still working up (Currently only on C10, and I've had FSP for years.... )

With Pan Am Flight Training, they offer all of our Caravan pilots a single engine ATP Most already have ATP licenses anyway,
but there have been a few who have obtained the single engine ATP since they only had the CPL.

I had an incident with my last pilot never did bring him back.
