You get what you pay for when it comes to XPax and watch the name calling. No need to be disrespectful.

To make it simple: I'm not ready to accept here rough bashing or disrespectefull peoples. The deal is completely fair even more than in a bakery because you can't taste every bread there before purchasing. ![]() Good bye ! We'll miss you... Well said Dan, there's always one (idiot that is) !
Again, I am a long-time lurker on these forums and user of FS9 version and I cannot WAIT to get my hands on the FSX version ![]() And for anyone who wants to know, I bought xPax to fill the gap, and it is nothing close to FsPX so save your money for FsPX ![]() Well done Dan on this momentous effort, we all appreciate it...

Hello Dan.
I've been watching this forum closely for the past 2 years orso, to follow up on the progress. but, i didnt think it was neccesary to meddle with your work. what comes comes, whenever it comes. and being a very satisfied fsp2004 costumer, i've been patiently looking forward for this fsx version for quite a while... the new features (acrobatics and touristic flights, changable times for movies etc..) are sure something to look forward to. from the many posts i could derive that you had some hard days fixing some bugs. also i know from experience (although i never worked on anything the scale of fspx) that last days before a release things heat up; ppl start getting inpatient and ask for previews and such. it's not the best time, but the reward is near! to summarize things: - Stay focused: dont make any last-minute mistakes; take your time finishing the product. - don't listen to ppl like blackforce; there will always be critics. just realise that like myself, many other enthousiast ppl are checking up on these forums to see the progress, and love your work so far. - 36.90 is a good price, stick to it; defitively dont go lower, it's up to us to eighter take it or leave it! (dont shoot me if i think it's worth more...) - last but definitvely not least: Respect for your work, you're doing what nobody else has done on fs04 and fsx, which is remarkable on its own. it's will be a good product; well worth every effort you put into it. i think i talk for everyone in here when i say that we all support your work and efforts greatly. My best regards, Woutboeing ps: a few days more, and you can have some well deserved holidays. i hope you enjoy them very much. I also wish everyone in here, and especially you a merry christmas and a happy newyear...

While I am sure that most Europeans could care less about US economics, the fact that the EURO had dropped to $1.28 earlier this month to just rise again to $1.48, a $0.20 rise in about 15 days shows more to the instability of world markets than can be blamed on interest rates. Spending lots of time outside of the US I can follow good trading rates in regions where the market is crashing (Asia) and feel the crunch where markets have rebounded (Europe). While I would love to blame Mr. Greenspan for a weak dollar in Europe to do so would just show ignorance in macroeconomics. Besides, Mr. Greenspan has forgotten more about world economics than I will ever know. I don't blame Dan either for international trading. Dan lives on the Euro and has every right to sell his product in the currency that his country uses. The rest of us just have to "live" with whatever trading rates we can get. As I had joked earlier, FSPX costs 11 cups of Starbucks. ![]() ![]() Post Edited ( 12-21-08 02:18 )

Much thanks for kind posts,
Yes any change yet even minor is very dangerous near release... I start to now "refuse" simple change more than one typo... (and less than serious issue) we'll see that in incoming patch (20-30 days) it's too late yet. First feedback from pre-release seem good but still I will be more quiet 15 days after the official release ![]() seem to work for most (if not all) peoples. But the week-end is not ended and not everyone posted feedback yet, maybe only happy peoples posted ? (that's my "always keep doubt" side ![]() From what I see the new fashion of MS to complicate things (UAC, dll.xml, simconnect) add some issues on witch FsP is not the culprit but that will give us more support to do. (reboot clean before installing can solve most of them) For most peoples install and run went flawlessly yet. There is some concern here and there but nothing catastrophic yet. 26 peoples bought pre-release, 21 unlocked yet. Well it's saturday night I'm probably the only one watching forums every 5 minutes ![]() Best to all and happy hollidays... Dan

People like blackforce are driving me mad, and I think the 99.9 % of the forum's users feel the same. I can imagine Dan how you must
feel when someone who just landed on this forum calls your hard work crap. Please remember that countless fans like myself are appreciating your huge effort. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Dan,
I have been watching this forum for 6 months waiting for FSPX to be released. I did not join the forum until today after I read the post from blackforce. I live in the US and I could careless what you charge for FSPX, you have put a lot of hard work into it and you deserve what ever price you think it is worth. I will have my credit card ready and waitng when you are ready to start selling it. I think the majority would agree when I say, Thanks for all of the hard work!! ![]()

Wait, the pre-release is open? If we got the first e-mail, were we supposed to get a second one directing us to the forum?

I got FSP2004 in the summer of 06 and to this day is still the best $40 I ever spent on a FlightSim addon. Don't worry about that guy Dan or anyone
who questions your work. Everyone here who bought FSP2004 knows how awesome your work is and knows how much it is worth. |
