is there such a thing where you can declare an emergancy and the atc will guide you to land at the nearest airport?
when declaring an emergancy how to you notify the tower that you have a problem?

nope, this is one of the problems with MSFS ATC, cancel IFR and just fly there

please, can somebody tell about other program which avoid this problem and make you more important (because of the emergency) than other aircraft

If you have Radar Contact 4, ATC will guide you to your choice of airport, clear all traffic, and allow you to toss out most
procedures. Works pretty good except you should turn off the transponder penalty in the FS Pax menu because RC4 doesn't simulate the 7700 code for emergencies. edit: If you don't have RC4 and can't get it, do what Jambone said. ![]() Post Edited ( 04-20-08 22:15 ) ![]() Charlie don't surf!

Also, make sure that if you don't have reliability set to 100%, and that another application (RCv4, or your custom plane) has a problem,
FSP might not be aware there is an actual emergency, and you get penalty for declaring a false emergency. I just got that one yesterday... had fire in left engine.. declared emergency, landed succesfully, got a huge penalty for declaring an emergency when nothing was actually wrong... lesson learned!!

FSPax simulates the failures, RC4 allows you to simulate the procedures and ATC routing. You contact them to tell them that you have
an emergency. RC4 is only an ATC simulator, it does not simulate any onboard systems except for the radio and that will not fail due to RC4. ![]() Charlie don't surf!

If you're like me and don't want to fly online (where the whole world can see and hear your mistakes!) I second the suggestion about Radar Contact. The 3rd or 4th most important add-on I have. I was cheap for a long time and didn't buy it, but now that I have it, I can't live without it.

Is there a problem with penalties if RC4 changes the transition level? Or really any penalties that should be turned off when using RC4? Thanks!

Hiya
I've used Radar Contact 4 too but found that Voxatc was much better suited. You get the clearence to land at the nearest airport / airfield and they will guide you down. Vox ATC to download is £24.95 Radar Contact 4 is about £27.00 Voxatc has voice recongition which is great, not sure if Radar Contact has this now or not?

If you are using RC4 and you get an emergencey in FSP, simply declare the emergencey get directions to nearest airport, once on final
approach and cleared to land then squawk 7700 and I think you will find you won`t get annoying incorrect squawk messages from RC4 but will get the bonus point in FSP. This topic was covered quite a long time ago but am pretty sure its correct. Hope this is of help. John |
