SEP for C3

Hello guys,

I've using FS for a couple of months now and I'm really starting to have fun with it.
On my 2nd company (the first one I crashed with the only airplane and killed the only pilot I had) I already have two guys ranked C3, with a Mooney B
and an Extra 400 in the hangar. But I would like to fly something else, powerful as the Extra or similar. I know I can fly Cesnnas and similar high
mounted wings, but I look for something different and quite fast (maybe 170KIAS cruising).
What do you have out there?

Beechcraft twin Bonanza (excellent aircraft!)
Angel 44
Beech Baron is ok, bonanza is better (up to 6 pax)

That's a start and I'm sure others will chime in soon.

Most of those planes you can find on AVSIM as freeware. The Adam and Twin-Star I have from Abacus (not great but good for casual
flyers like me)

edit: Whoops! I see that you are looking for an SEP. hmmm. I'm not sure about that, once I hit c3 I went for the faster, more profitable twins.

One of the best SEPs for FSPassengers is the DHC-2 Otter. It carries 8 passengers, and is low cost (they are old planes). Don't be afraid to buy
used planes; just keep them maintained. Another 8-passenger plane is the Gippsland Airvan. Its performance isn't so great, but it does seat 8. The
Extra 400 you've got is one of my favorite planes for C1-C3.

Most planes that are fast (that what I suppose you#re looking for) don't work that well as a pax plane. The mooney is probably the best if you#re
looking for a racer, but it only seats 4, so it won#t make you much cash.

As has been said, the Gippsland Airvan is a pretty good choice, it's a modern design (late 90's), and is available in Pax, Combi and Cargo
configuration and with a seating of 8 is the biggest you can find sub-C4. Fred Choates Piper Cherokee Six is also a good model. resonably fast,
seating 6, but it has 2 minor drawbacks. First the model is a bit flawed, so producing a decent repaint is difficult, since the textures get distorted
during the mapping onto the model, also the lack of VC and wingviews is a little drawback. The second big issue is, that it is quite difficult to
trim, so flying it manually will be a handfull.

I started my airline with a backbone of 4 Gippslands, 2 pax, 1 combi and 1 freighter. Two were later sold off, but all made me quite good a penny

I got a used Cessna 404. Has a good climb rate a cruises at 200KIAS, so good enough. Even though, I maight try one of those last suggestions... Thanks

A 404 in C3 ? I suppose you turned off the career mode then?

Whats wrong? Last night I did my 2nd flight and it behaved nicely. Climbs fast (no problem 1200ft/m less than 10m to reach cruise level) and scored
over220KIAS as average at FL110. Landing touchdown was a kiss. I had an exceptional flight an earned 438 points.

If you're a C3 pilot, you usually can't even buy a C404 as it is a 2-engined plane, which you can only fly as a C4 pilot or am I mixing something up
here ?

C3: Commercial Pilot (Multi engine prop less than 5511lbs). C4 is for turboprops.

Yeah, my fault, sorry. For C3 i think there's nothing that is better than the 404 Titan, it's the fastest and most seating plane for C3.

once over to C4 i switched to the Pilatus PC-12. Seats also only 10, but is capable of higher speeds. The bigger ones like the Dash-8 are out of reach
as I started with 2.000.000 and they cost 10.000.000

A good C4 plane is Erick Cantu's EMB-120, which seats 30 and you can scoop a second hand model up for as low as 2.500.000

anyone have any ideas how much a 737-700 costs? I haven't looked yet cos I still have quite a bit to earn with my current plane (F100)

Ithink 30+ million. A 737-200 is 26.000.000 according to my Aircraft Browser, so a -700 will be some bucks more i suppose.
