New FSP website

botleboy I love the new design, I just don't like the font of your text in the "fspassengers' bit
We also need to get rid of the latest Fspassengers members tab, pointless in my opinion.

Bottleboy, the police isn't terrific (too much Star Wars/Star Trek/Neodeco), but the colors and the general idea is good.

BTW, did you have any confirmation from Dan that he's interrested?

Hmmm, I really like this forum becasue it simple, I personally don't think you need a million features on a forum, I just need to post and I am happy.

It looks a bit to colour full to me, eg White, or light grey (even though it sounds lame) is the best colour if you are trying to look professional,
which you have to if you want to sell FSP.


But if a new site does get made....I call being the first to join

I thanks you very much for your effort botleboy but the problem is that the design is the most easiest part to do.
Yann Gascard (professionnal web designer) took 5 day to make the design and it took me a total of 2 month
of work to make the rest.

Keeping the layout I can simply make new design (banner, images,colors) but a new layout would require that
I rework most of the code wich would take a lot of time.

I'll see about changing the design after release or at release time (at least for the important banner) , for now I'm
sure peoples preffer that I work on FsPX instead of the site.

BTW also nice design Drew

Sure ok,

I've been cheeky and kind of read all of your coding for the current site. It is pretty straight forward. (no offfense meant).
I could quite easily work with both designs and link them with the images like passengers etc.

I would just take all the forum and place code in this design.

However at the end of the day it is up to you but it would be AMAZING!!.

I can't find Yann any where on net. I take a minimum of a week to put site together (from design) in your case as the coding is already done. We just
transfer it all. Easy as pie.

Sorry I never told I support that, he sent me a mail yesterday night after he wrote this topic.
and I replied here before I saw the mail. Next time make sure you get better informations

I thanks you again but I really don't have any time for website yet. Also this layout work well so
I don't see any reason to change what just need some images and CSS redesign.
The new design might depend also of the new FsPX so it's to early to start
redesigning the site for a product that is not finished nor near completion. "Easy as pie"
too often end in long work, don't underestimate all the php code that is "behind the scene"

As said I thank you for your enthousiasm but please don't waste your time on this.

Dan, Jim suffers from a terminal case of cerebral fartitis. It's sort of like Tourettes Syndrome but worse. We usually keep him locked up
and away from a computer but I swear...I think the guy is Houdini. We don't know how he keeps getting out of his cage!

True I do pop out of hibernation once a week or so to post of FSP have a case and get back to hibernation. Dan, I wasn't trying to offend you, please
realize my sarcasm, look back at my last 922 posts before thinking I'm ripping you down! And from what bottleboy said you had already endorsed it so I
figured I wasn't getting lied to on a simple webpage design, once again, I'm getting in trouble because I'm not sensitive enough, my girl just yelled
at me last night for that crap!

meh. I sent dan an email about this subject roughly a month ago. i didn't get a reply, but he posted somewhere on the forum with a
general response ("no thanks no help needed" was the jist of the post) so yeah

i have a new and improved idea >:] an underground bunker made of reinforced concrete, with no doors or windows. only airholes. and a
fridge full of beer. will that be enough to keep Jim in there for several years? xD

(must email dan at some point with this new idea of mine. I'll post his response here if anyone will be bothered to read it. If i get a reply
that is, as he doesn't always reply to 'idea' emails)
